The new machines in the arcade for Japan seems to now take cards that you insert into the machine. They're about $3.00 per card and they're like memory cards so your scores, characters, etc. kept in there. Pop 'n' Music takes them and a few other music machines take them. O_o So far, they seem to be popular here in Okinawa.

yeah, it's called the e-amusement system and it's been out since early last year. So far Pop'n 9, IIDx 9th, GF 9, DM 8, GF 10, DM 9 and Pop'n 10 all are compatible with this. There's even as side machine called "ee'mall" which you can use with your cards to unlock songs and courses for all the games, and character items for Pop'n Music.

^^ We can only purchase ours at the arcade and that's only like a few places we can purchase it. It kind of sucks though; I found it more easier to just insert money into the machine without using the cards instead. I really don't care about the uses of it. I wonder if DDR is going to do cards as well...
