About the guy in the Paranoia BG's

It's very simple. An elite team of highly advanced cybernetic beings called "180" (the exact name of the team changed throughout the course of the PARANOiA war.) began building a force called the PARANOiAs.

(in chronological order)
PARANOiA - Prototype.
PARANOiA KCET Clean Mix - Original field unit, simple and efficiant. The construction of these units began what is now known as the MAX Unlimited era of the PARANOiA war.
PARANOiA Evolution - After the Clean forces began weakening, 180 created PARANOiA Evolution, which had twice as much firepower and was 50% faster.
PARANOiA MAX - The elite unit. Only a few were ever created due to their cost. Ten times as much firepower as the Clean units, but slow. Created along side the Evolution units. These units began the era known as THE LEGEND OF MAX.
PARANOiA Survivor - Survivor was the dub name for what was left of the PARANOiA Evolution forces after they were finally defeated. These units fled to 180's base when victory was impossible. One PARANOiA MAX unit was among these.
PARANOiA Rebirth - The remaining units were used to build more efficiant units. There were 50 Rebirth units and ten Rebirth MAX units constructed.
PARANOiA Survivor MAX - After the 180 team was wiped out, the 25 remaining Rebirth units grouped into fives and reconstructed themselves as MAXs with enhanced speed. These lacked in defense.
PARANOiA Eternal - While the Rebirth units reconstructed themselves as Survivor MAX units, the 5 remaining Rebirth MAX units rebuilt themselves into two mega Rebirth units, dubbed the Eternals. When the Survivor MAX forces were destroyed, the two Eternals combined themselves into the MAX 300, the last of the PARANOiAs.
