Hmm...I can't find anything about it on the website, just something about the T-shirt.
I was really wondering whose idea it was to do a baseball-like logo, since it's actually a really good idea(I noticed recently when someone pointed it out. I'm so desensetized to DDRFreak.) _________________

Yeah, someone also pointed out to me that it was close to the NBA logo....
I'm guessing they haven't complained/cared about it _________________

Couldn't you easily argue that it's a parody? _________________

Could you? I don't see what it's supposedly poking fun at. _________________

For some reason I can't think of wording right now.
Basically, the NBA logo is for a sport. One could argue that DDR is not. So the humor would be found in making a DDR logo look like a sport logo, so that it implies that DDR is a sport.
Hey, I think it's funny _________________

Hey, I think it's funny | This may be true.
In the legal sense, however, the NBA and MLB haven't (to my knowledge) sparred with each other regarding the similarity of their logos (blue on the left, white sillhouette in the middle, red on the right), so if either of them (the NBA in particular) came down on DDRFreak for logo similarity, it could be easily argued that the traits are in common with the MLB logo, representing an organization that it *much* larger and more noticeable, which hasn't been asked to change their logo. In other words, it's not similarly confusing because:
A: It makes no reference to the NBA, and the trademark itself is clearly visible to the right of the logo.
B: Other famous logos are done in the exact same style, and this infringement has not been challenged. Failure to defend a trademark constitutes loss of that trademark. Therefore, they can't simultaneously argue that DDRFreak's logo infringes on their own without raising the issue with the MLB.
Of course, they could just play the "I have more money to spend on lawyers than you do" game. _________________
