Two weeks ago, most DDR Extreme arcade machines were "upgraded" to DDR Megamix, which seems like a graphically stripped-down DDR Extreme, with no differences other than some songs missing, one song added (Maxx Unlimited), and some translated bits here and there "such as CAUTION: DON'T FALL OFF!". Can anyone tell me why in the blue hell they changed that? I mean, now Sakura, Paranoia Survivor Max, Legend of Max, just to name a few, are missing from the main songlist. I assume that they may be hidden or locked, but still...

In my opinion, it just sucks.

Well the arcade I usually play at DOES have MegaMix....and it's so stupid...the marquee for it sucks...I could've done it in PAINT for crying out loud..and you're right...you have to unlock em just like on extreme...and yes...Megamix isn't too good hehe. But i think the one we have is boot legged. *sigh* oh well. Whatever hopefully they'll just go back to extreme. I miss it already.

"Most" DDR Extremes were not upgraded to it. But it's a bootleg.

They just recently "upgraded" at my arcade too. Which songs exactly were added/removed?

Mine has one too. It's basically a locked Extreme (no unlocked songs, courses, etc.) but I noticed it lacks Burnin the Floor (Momo Mix) which is a song available from the very start. I wonder if the Oni's that song is in still has it or not cause that's bizarre.
Or maybe the bootlegger figures we'd be too busy playing 10 footers to care about it.

Burning The Floor (Momo Mix) is an unlocked song, not available from the start. Before it was unlocked, you could only see it in Naoki Neo Standard.

I can't believe how many arcade owners are falling for this crap. There is no upgrade from Extreme-there is no 9th mix-megamix is a BOOTLEG currently being sold on Ebay. It can only be seen as a downgrade if anything. This link says it all http://www.mikefromsantee.com/nickelcity.html

But I thought Burnin the Floor MM was a green song which was available from the get go. But I could be wrong.

Nope. I got stuck playing "Megamix" at XGates and I tried playing Burning the Floor Momo and it wasn't unlocked yet.

On two extreme aracades i played at, one was set to where you can unlock songs and the other you couldnt!
thats probably why i couldnt get Burning the floor MM.

I agree with everybody, it is a bootleg. That sucks!! Didn't they find out a little about it before they changed them? Do they even realize that they just bought bootleg machines? They should do a little research before they go do something like that. disturb.gif
