is there a way to view the ddr freak videos on my WMP 9 without downloading the special software

Much like the locked thread on page one says, they're still down.

But you should be able to get just the DivX codec so you can watch the videos on WMP9 and not have to download the actual player. Or, you can always install the "special software" which will install the codec, and then uninstall the player. And if you don't want to do either one of those...well you're out of luck then.
