Online play, forget about it. You know, if I was Konami I'd be thinking "why would online play be a suprise? If they knew about it ahead of time the number of copies sold would be totally different" You don't just "suprise" people with an online feature.
And are you people going to continue to Jinx DDR? Everytime a new one comes out somebody else screams about how it's the last one. When a new arcade version comes people are going to loose their minds. |
I think the entire announcement of this game is a surprise, is it not? This was probably the earliest build of the game so who is to say what is on it? Not you or I, but the fact is none of us know. This is purely speculation (isn't that the purpose of a discussion board in the first place?), and I voiced my opinion/maybe a want. There is no reason for you to flame me or any of the others wishing for the same thing, especially since you don't know the definite answer either.
EDIT: It says on the main page that PS2 Online Play is indeed a possibility, so why shouldn't we assume that this is true? The fact that the game comes out in the fall means that there is still plenty of time to do just about anything they want with this game. Also, go back and reread my post. I didn't say anything about DDR Extreme being the last one except that KoA won't be able to bring out a new mix in the US based off something beyond Extreme as they've always done so far. |

Nonstop looks exactly like regular mode.
How is it coming out earlier a bad thing? _________________

Regarding series sort...
KOA and Harmonix joined up for KR. Perhaps some songs will be transplanted from Frequency and Amplitude. Who knows, it could happen.

it does suck that its not coming out until fall... but i guess we should just be greatful. i am, as much as i can force myself to be because 100 minutes of songs is not exactly a lot... in endless mode yea but other than that i think it'll be easy to get bored w/some songs quickly as in all other games - i just hope they start cranking out more US releases since they must see thats its booming here and dead in japan... that'd be nice

Max and Max2 for the US were both quoted to have "Over 65 songs and 100+ minutes of authentic dance music". (Taken from the back of the box from both games.
I think they ended up having about 66-70 songs only.
It's probably going to be the same for DDRExtreme's US apperance. I believe that Max.(period) might show up. _________________

I like the songs so far. Now since this is extreme, I'm gonna say a few things that they better add or THIS IS NO EXTREME by any means.
1.) Trick Oni (the right songs this time for those of us that have the import)
2.) Don't care if are/not unlockable: .25x, brake, and flaw flaw I think it was called
3.) Legend Road (don't care if import or arcade one)
4.) Neo Naoki Standard
Returning Stuff liked to see return (including from the imports)
1.) Revolt Road
2.) A message to tell us how many more songs left to unlock (ultramix)
3.) Songs: Jane Jana, Drifting Away, Rain of Sorrow, Fantasy (arcade max), Radical Faith, Electro tuned, msg2: R mission, eversnow, Dynamite Rave (with the challenge steps, not the Za ba beat one) the long version songs, Lupin the 3rd, bumble bee, moonlight shadow, and few other sana nor ente BLT style, and Ready Steady Go.
4.) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO BUTTERFLY. If it's gonna be remixed then fine.
5.) Make an oni course feature
Pretty much that all my 2 cents into this "what u think should be in this" that is gonna start up. |

Quote: | DDR was first made on Playstation and its biggest fanbase will remain on Playstation. Simple as that. |
DDR started as an arcade game, back in the very tail end of 1997. I don't know where you got the idea that it was a console game first.
Anyway, a few things:
- EX isn't the last arcade mix, Konami's just done pretty much all they can with the current hardware/software combination. Arcades might not like it, and it might take longer, but we're changing formats for DDR9.
- The US DDRExtreme will not have Daikenkai. Not in a million years. I'm sorry.
- Be For U and Sana (and the freaking Togo Project, too) are employees of Konami. They didn't have to be coerced into selling the rights for the US market, the big K already owns their work. _________________
