I got this idea from the MTV video countdown. I was wondering if DDR drastically changed any of your lives like that one girl who lost 90 pounds and what not. Have you met a life partner of lost tremendous amounts of weight from DDR?

I'm actually going about her rate. She was playing for 4 years and lost 90lbs. I've been playing for 2 years and lost 50ish lbs so... yeah it works. At least for me thumb.gif

Yeah, it changed my life. Now I spend two hours everyday playing this game instead of something else. I used to skateboard a lot (would burn energy like crazy, I got a crazy metabolism - like 5 pounds each time) but since I stopped (due to no daytime hours and possible accidents that could occur - I miss that sport though - for those who skate, I do have videos) DDR pretty much took in place of all that. I still burn that same energy like I used to.

It's become my new favorite game and it's given me something new to do on weekends. I think it's changed my friends lives too since I dragged all of them into it too E4.gif

haha, I feel ya. Skating is fun but dangerous. DDR is a lot safer. Still works the legs out the same way. Like all you guys said, stamina. Compare yourself playing now with the first time you played over an hour.

Well,

I have lost a lot of weight, met cool (and strange) people, and have listened to too much DDR music in my free time. So yeah.

Ever since playing Prop Cycle (back in the days), I thing of DDR as a big LifeChanger! Not only for losing weight, but for meeting new friends & reminding me that life is short & not to be taken for granted. Playing DDR also helped me to control my diabetes; believe me, I don't want to lose my legs! Is that a trip or what? Please reply, over! Thanks!

Woo. DDR is the only thing that ever helped me out. I've lost 48lbs in the year that I've been playing, my social skills have improved(thus, more friends), my stamina has improved. I had tried other things but nothing worked out as good. *bows before the mighty DDR machine*

Playing DDR has really helped me out physically. The past two years before, I kept getting slower when we were doing the mile run. After starting to regularly play DDR, I've finally started getting faster, and my knees and ankles don't start to hurt as quickly when I'm walking around anywhere. I also lost an amount of weight (only really about 10 pounds), so I'm at a pretty average size for my height now. And it's really gotten me more into different styles of music, too.

I found the "ultimate" workout machine...and the best game ever! laugh.gif

It's changed my life...and it has widen my tastes for music...

But I still cannot find DDR players in Corona...or at least gotten to know them alot...I await for that day to go in a big group..to the arcade...to play DDR..and have fun.. blink.gif
