Now that you mention it, that's a good question. It wouldn't surprise me, since a lot of DDR songs have sexual overtones. Now I have to check it out... _________________

I just watched the video, and I have to say that it's pretty obvious you're right. Kind of changes how I look at that song. _________________

Although the lesbian overtones of the song have been discussed before, I'm quite sure "Taboo" isn't the name of one of the girls. That'd be an interesting name. Yeah, umm...look it up in the dictionary? _________________

Or you can listen to the lyrics. They are quite clear on what is happening. E-Rotic songs sure beat them in the cool sexual overtones tho. _________________

Just because the video has two women in it doesn't mean the song is about two lesbians. Can you provide lyrical quotes that would give you that impression?
And can you explain away these lyrics?

So..."he" belongs to someone else, but "he" is just a random person that has nothing to do with the two lesbians? Riiiiiight.
And think of the "Taboo" line this way:
"What we have: taboo."
Meaning that their relationship is taboo. Meaning it has to be secret. A...secret rendevous if you will. _________________

omg no? kthxbai
sekret rondevoos (sp?) 4EVAR
Anyway, yeah, Spike pretty much nailed it on the head, and Junior Asparagus got the dictionary remark in too early. However, (and I haven't looked up the lyrics) she could be bisexual, the mp3 seems to suggest something along alternative sexualities. |

Spike = 100% correct
Here in the CNY area we have talked about the meaning of these lyrics many times. The song is about a girl doing "stuff" with this girls boyfriend but they have to keep it secret. _________________

Um, it's what we have TO DO.
The BGMs in this song pop up all over the place too; I think Let The Beat Hit Em uses almost all of those BGMs as well, but I don't think that one's about lesbians either. And your average pop video will prolly have two of the latest cheese pop trash girls practically dry humping each other anyway, this is nothing new
As for the lyrics... eh, who knows WHAT they mean. Just look at Dub I Dub, Dam Dariram, Butterfly, Petit Love and so on... a lot of these songs are just pretty sounding words that don't actually have much information content at the end of the day. |

Um, no it's not.
The BGMs in Let The Beat Hit Em uses the BGs with the DDR cards with the machine on one side, the characters on the other. |

"What we have is taboo, a secret rendezvous"
or in other words....
"What we have is forbidden, a secret meeting"
Or in a more entertaining way...
"What we have is 2 women who love to get freaky with each other late at night under the moonlight while sippin kris" _________________

It does, we use it in English as a more "seductive" word to use for meeting (which is probobly why they chose it for the song). To the French it just has one meaning without the subliminal messages. _________________
