i play in my basement which has just plain cement floor. my soft pads will barly slip when i play max 300 heavy. so if you have a cement floor try that before modding.

Don't buy 3rd party soft pads. Upgrade to BNS-DX Extreme's ($50) or Red Octane 2.0's. ($100)

This is a thread which has a lot of great information on soft pads. You should definitely read through it and then ask your question in there.
