There is no legitimate answer for that. Basically, all the REALLY good stuff is only for PS2 right now. I suppose you can wait until the good folk at CF and RO come out with XBOX Cboxes. Until then, just use the bundled pad. _________________

You can get the Konami pad here:
http://www.redoctane.com/adux/xboxkonamiddrpad.html
They're pretty pricey at $45 a piece, though. I've owned both the Mad Catz Beat Pad and Beat Pad Pro. I recommend neither. The Konami pad beats both of them. |

I've seen places online where you could buy a Playstation to Xbox converter. You could get a metal pad or a CF pad for Playstation and then get the separate converter so you could use it on Xbox.

It's just easier to save yourself the hassle and order a Konami pad. It's not bad as far as soft pads go, you can have a headset in it, it registers as a dance pad not a controller and will save you the trouble of trying to find a good converter. Order a Konami pad and if you have a PS2 pad, buy a converter for it. Now you can play doubles. |

I've gotten 2 Xbox pads so far.
The first was a Naki softpad, which worked well in single player, but on Xbox Live the pad didn't have a compatible port for the Communicator headset and also got picked up as a controller by the game.
The softpad I most recently purchased was a Madcatz softpad, this pad actually registers as one online, has a slot for the headset, and came with an extension cord for the headset.
So if you want a 3rd party pad go with Madcatz, unless you don't plan on playing on Xbox Live. I myself am going to take my defective Naki pad and put it on the 2P side when I mod both pads to plywood for doubles play, then during online play I will use the Madcatz pad on the 1P side. _________________

The official pad the game comes with is awesome. To me, it's great for a soft pad. I can easily full combo 7foot+ songs with it... now i just need some plywood to keep it from rolling up XD |

I like the pad that comes bundled with Ultramix...its pretty accurate compared to other pads on the market, and once modded, it would probably make a good pad. Its a million times better then the crappy Penguin wireless pads.
