bag? That is definitely not 12/8. Its again 4/4 except for its a complex time, basically meaning lots of triplets. Don't count each of the notes in the triplet as a beat. Remember, this song is 60 bpm. If you were counting it as 12/8, then the song would be like 360 bpm. Not right. I would agree that in theory it could be written in 12/8, yet it says 60 bpm, and from that I would tend to think that the triplets are simply triplets and not individual beats.

12/8 time doesn't really give a beat to each eigth note. writing a song in 4/4 and making it all triplets is near pointless. it's easier and makes more sense to write it in 12/8. the tempo in 12/8 is usually given as (dotted quarter = xx bpm), meaning that 1, 4, 7, and 10 get the beats, and the tempo is based on groups of 3. bag should logically be written in 12/8 at 60bpm.

all 12/8 is, is 4/4 with triplets. 123456789101112.

you didnt grow up on third mix, did you?
Actually....no. I've only been into DDR about a year but i really started playing on a 4th mix. But lately I play on an Extreme. So if your talkin about all the charcters that are chicks dancin and the camera shootin' straight up her skirt then i know exactly what your sayin'. If not then what?

I think Tomo is talking about the intro video to 3rd mix, bunch of ass shots...(if you didn't know the DDR song video is based off the old intro's to the game) E13.gif

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Ok, I'll definitely agree to that. But just from a reading music standpoint, that would be so much harder to read than just 4/4.

tempo and time signature have nothing to do with each other. any song, in any time sig, can be any speed. some just sound better than others.

you're just saying that cuz 4/4 is the easiest time sig to read. good musicians (read: classical =P) can play all time signatures with equal proficiency (don't take this as flamebait, im not calling you a bad musician =P)
