Does that mean she digs you? I'm not talking about someone you know or your friends, but a total stranger. I was at a local arcade tonight with some friends and I wanted to show off to them by playing a song backwards (to them this is one of the coolest things ever). This girl, maybe early 20's, was watching and after I was done, she started clapping really hard and she told me "that was the coolest thing I've ever seen". I had been dancing with a friend so I wasn't alone, and she asked if she could dance with me. I had already done my 3 songs and was stepping off the machine to leave, so it was kind of like she was asking me if I wanted to dance with her. I don't know, maybe I was reading it wrong. But a strange girl asking to dance with you seems kind of weird, and my friends all told me how funny it was, even calling her my "groupie".

Anyway, opinions?

Okay, if your asking yourself this:

1) Brick yourself, hard.

2) Don't ask us, we don't know the person. We can only go by what we have experienced, and not every person acts the same way. So our guess is as good as yours.

3) Play DDR in the same location. Wait for her. Play a few more games with her, and then start talking to her about, you know, just life. After you two get to know each other a little better, ask her yourself.

4) If it doesn't work out, oh well. It's not like she really impacted you greatly before you met her. And at least you have a friend now.

Follow these steps, preferrably. There is no other surefire way. All the advice in the world doesn't change how one person who's never seen that advice will act.

Priest, watch, she probably posts on DDR Freak also xD

Maybe I should change my nick to DDR Pimp?...

Priest - Wow, what an answer. Thanks for the advice, though I wasn't seeking dating help. It's funny, the first thing I thought after I left was, "I wonder if she posts on ddrfreak?" Maybe she'll read this (btw, the "groupie" comment was not a put down, in case you are).

I actually just wanted to know if that's something a DDR grrl would do with intent, or just because she thought it would be cool since I fool people into thinking I know what I'm doing on the pad.

Thanks for the help!

maybe she was embarassed to play alone...

but most likely, she probably digs your skills.

now ask yourself this. If you play with some random girl who is also good at DDR, and after the game is over, she tries to find you in the arcade before she leaves so she compliment that your good, does that mean she digs ya? hermmies?

30% chance i guess?

No, no it doesn't necessarily.

If a girl tells a soccer player after a game, "Wow, that was really awesome. You're very good," it doesn't necessarily mean she likes him. Recognizing talent and liking a person are different.

On the other hand, doesn't mean she doesn't like you... ask her out if you want (but NOT to play arrow-stomping), if you want to know.

But what if she asks to play soccer with you? Just saying...

I'm not trying to pick up girls at the arcade, so don't get me wrong. I'm not asking this so I can build up the courage to ask her out. After we finished playing I was kind of like, "That was fun" and I don't remember if she even said anything. So I walked away to join my friends and afterwards I saw her put her coat on and leave, so she didn't track me down or anything (just in case, Goonie, you thought that was what she did). Maybe that's what was so weird. A total stranger asks to play with me, and then doesn't even say anything to me afterwards.

Goonie, you could be right. Maybe she just didn't want to play alone. Of course, she let me pick all the songs, which I thought was strange too.

I think the problem is, I'm thinking too much about this.

yeh, ya hafta lay off it cuz u may never see her again. oooooor, ya could've inspired her to play ddr more. hrrmmm??? hehe, i'm putting thoughts in ur mind.

haha, i remember one time i ask someone to play with me cuz i accidently put the mode on Versus and not Double. So a white girl came up. And I pick, The Whistle Song. Blow my whistle baby!!!! haha. she probably hated me cuz of the gestures i was giving.

First of all, do NOT spaz out whenever a female comes within 5 feet of your vicinity. Second of all, just be calm and all...happy and stuff.. Yeah. And stuff.

Third, the person with the previous post needs to lose some testosterone.

B-gal has spoken.

yup, something similar to this happened to me. I had just started coming to this arcade, and a girl asked to play with me, pretty much same skill level, and same taste of songs. shes prolly twice my age tho, I dont think it would work out lol

Chocobo - Really? Just out of the blue? Guess it's more normal than I thought.

In case any others decide I'm just being a "spaz", my questions have been satisfactorily answered and I will welcome any more helpful or otherwise positive comments.

Well I don't think it means anything, except it's an opportunity to make a friend, or maybe more.

I mean guys often ask me if I can play with them (a girl once too but that's different, I already knew her a little), and I've already asked a guy if I could play with him. That doesn't mean I was attracted to them or anything (oh I'm a man and I'm not gay btw), just wanted to play with them. There are very few girls where I play but that wouldn't make much of a difference I guess...

Well that's my point of view, maybe she (or you) has a different one. Just don't think too much ^^
