|
|
Ok so theres been alot of questions about the fliptop cover os im getting one for chistmas...but i got it early! hers my review..
Shipping: Most of the time the box is damaged beacuse the bottom side is hollow and when hit will easily dented..but the fliptop it self is 100% ok.
Installation: VERY EASY they say its 5 minutes but it only took me 2 minutes...almsot any1 can do it.
Usage: Very easy but the first time you do it you will get a red border...this can be corrcted next time when you put in the import in make sure you here a click of the disk going in like in the ps1..it will work
Playing: It works just like american games do it does not slow down or lag.
Grade: A
Must have for imports
People it apeals to: People who want to or have broken there warrenty..people who dont want ot use a modchip..people who can actually install it ( people are worrided about openning thier PS2) _________________

Or seeing as you've got a modchip already and more than likely want to play Playstation games too just send it off to cmcm or PSX-Tech. I trust PSX-Tech more but depending on the modchip cmcm might give you a discount in exchange for your old modchip. _________________

There's a new version of swap disc out called Breaker Pro. http://www.ps2cover.com/breakerprousa.html
Could someone please explain what this does? I'm still a noob and am looking into getting a fliptop and DDR extreme for xmas, but i don't know if the fliptop/breaker pro will work with it, any help is appreciated.
Thanx _________________

The slidecard sucks if don't like taking 5 mins to start the damn game and it ONLY plays PS2 imports and backups. It also plays DVD backups. |

Yeah, the Slide Card sucks! It even slowly messes up your PS2 because you're pulling the drive out when you're not supposed to. Just get a Flip-Top.

I'm pretty sure that the website said that it can only play ps1 imports.

I have a few questions:
1. What does soldering mean?
2. Will a Magic 3.1 play DDRExtreme?
3. Where's a good place to buy DDRExtreme?
4. Where's a good place to buy a mod-chip?
Please get back to me soon. I was thinking of getting a mod-chip from www.modchipworld.com . I was thinking of buying DDRExtreme from www.toysnjoys.com . Thanx in advance. |

So, someone said in a thread below that the new Swap Magic 3.0 will play PS1 games. Is this true? And if so, does anyone know when they'll actually be shipping? (I was planning on ordering from ps2cover.com). Does anyone actually own the "Breaker Pro", and have you tried it with DDR games? I'm about to buy a fliptop, and I wasn't sure which SwapMagic discs to buy -- although my first import will be a PS2 game (Extreme!), I'd like to be able to play PS1 games, and I'd rather just buy all the stuff I need right now. (4th mix and Extra Mix are next on the wish list, because I'm one of those weirdos who likes 6-panel mode.)
Currently, I have no plans to try to import any non-DDR games, so compatibility with anything other than DDR is fairly irrelevant.
Thanks in advance!
PS: Soldering is how you attach an electronic component to the circuit board -- you heat up a soldering iron (looks kind of like an electric screwdriver, except the bit gets hot rather than turning) and you melt solder onto the little wires from the chip and the printed-on wires of the circuit board. It's not hard to learn how to solder a little bit -- Radio Shack sells kits, but getting good enough to confidently mount a modchip is a whole 'nother story. |

Hi all
Okie heres a quicky question(I read the 1st page but I know nothing about mods) I have a ps2 and do not want to open it for a mod chip..My friend has one for his Ps1 that didnt require opening it. It was just something he put in the back where the game shark goes. I dont know if they made something like that for the ps2 or not.
I want to buy an Extreme import, but I do not know what would be the best mod to buy/easiest to install. Can someone help me please _________________

I'm sorry for all these questions I've been asking.
1. Is it possible for a local computer store to install a mod chip?
2. If I sent my PS2 to PSX-Tech to have a mod chip installed how long will it take to get back to me?
3. If I got my mod chip installed by PSX-Tech how much will it cost?
Please, someone answer these questions before Christmas. |

Nope, there's nothing like that gameshark thing for the PS2. But I recommend that you use the Flip-Top, it is definetly the best method for you.
Endless:
1. Probably not.
2. and 3. Just ask him.
