Now I can see why your all getting upset about defjam vendetta winning best music, I am too. But I like Madden 2004(It might not of deserved best game but it is still a really good game so stop complaining about that...ok?

SpikeTV ... They polled a particular community (I didn't watch so I don't know, sorry) on what the best video game was, and so accoarding to that community... Madden 2004 was tops. I realize it comes off as insulting to a lot of the die-hard gamers... but do realize there's lots of casual gamers out there who play a lot of sports-based games. Look at the top game rental charts occasionally, sports games constantly dominate it. If they polled a bunch of average joe spike-tv watching guys who aren't necessairly gaming enthusiasts, it's feasible to see how a sports game won the title.

Anyway, if you don't like the video game awards show idea, don't watch it. If it gets bad ratings, and sponsors get wind of a bad reception, it won't happen again. Personally, I made the mistake of watching about half of G-Phoria a couple months ago which was verrrry similar... lesson learned

well, Spike TV is an american and 'manly' channel, and doesnt want such a japanese, 'girly' dancing game on their airways.

I hate video game award shows.

Why?

They don't give arcade games any credit.

I didn't see the VGA's, but if I had, I probably would have shot myself. First off, a video game awards show? WTF. Leave us gamers our dignity and keep it to E3 and the sorts, but not awards shows. (Not to say that E3 isn't a degrading coffee pot of bacterial infection.

) G4's didn't work, as mentioned, and all they do is games. Why think it'll work this time?? If it were up to me, Def Jam Vendetta would have won the Best Game to Play Frisbee With and Best Game to Litter-Train a Cat With awards, and Madden 03' should have won the Most Annoying Commentary award. Overall, Spike TV is the channel for "Men" who can count to 23 on a good day, assuming they can get their shoes off when asked to.

Those were the MTV awards too? bleh, I hate that award show even more now, Madden 2k4 was an alright game, definitely did not deserve best game. But then again, everyone has a differant view. Someone else who watched the show is probably jumping up and down that 2k4 won best game and Vendetta won best music (Not me
