At pumpxtreme.net, in the general section on the first page there is a topic about the korean pads, but i belive it does have the set up for usb pads to the game there. dont quote me though. i would give you the link but im too lazy right now. maybe later

Our Arcade just got pump it up premire 3 yesterday.
These our my scores for first day playing.

I also heard about some nightmare double mode. Does anyone know how to unlock it? |

That's only in PREX 3. There is nothing to unlock in Premiere 3. |

imporved my piu scores after a hiatus form playing.
managed a B on Beethoven crazy and passed winter with a D.
Eh I was happy.
on a side note....I've heard of some ex expert mode in some versions of pump. What would that be exactly? I bet it's only in PREEX huh? We've got a pre3 here.

We have PREX 3 here, I don't know how hard Slam is on Crazy because I've never played it... but I would think that Lagenski's Can Can and Holiday(which may or may not be on Pre 3... was in some earlier games) would be tougher than Slam on Crazy... simply because they are newer and they'd have to create something harder to please the hardcore players... Try Winter on Crazy.... or Empire of the Sun... lol

(BTW I've not seen anybody who plays here pass Can Can....)
PxDn Hippie from KY, there is Extra Expert mode (available for single and doubles) on some PREX versions and on the current PREX3 there is the dreaded Nightmare mode.... the level for each song isn't shown... instead a whole bunch of laughing skeletons.... anyhow it's an insane doubles mode... hurts to play it... haven't passed one Nightmare song. lol |

Empire of the sun and Can Can isnt on pre3 but I dont know about holiday.
Prex3 sounds alot better than pre3. I think im going to have to talk to the manager of the Arcade into getting it upgraded.
I can get a A on Winter Crazy.

Or just import the Korean version of PREX 3 for the PC when it comes out on December 20th....
2 USB! pads and the game = roughly $65.
Hopefully PumpRevolution will carry it, if they can get copies from Korea (since it's only being released in Korea).

I.....LOVE......PIU!!!!
PIU is what introduced me to DDR, and it IS true what they say - PIU is more difficult than DDR because of the addition of the 5th button. I still haven't made it very far on it yet though....only a level 4 in Easy mode, and I usually get a C on that. I'm lucky enough to live near two malls, one of which has a PIU Premiere 2 and a DDR machine, and another that has a PIU Perfect Collection machine, which is the one I'm going to play on today.

Only in Crazy/Xtra Expert/Nightmare mode would I consider it harder than DDR.... why?
Triples,Quads, and Quints / more jumps as well (involving 3 panels instead of two) hard mode hardly uses those and normal doesn't use them at all. It's not the 5th step that makes it harder, it's the actual steps to the songs. |

Maybe it seems harder because I started off playing PIU, and then once trying DDR, DDR didn't seem all that hard.

I take it your local arcade doesn't have PREX3.... because the Nightmare mode breathes lots of new life in the series... if thats not enough set it to random mode  |

Extra Expert mode is only on Pump it Up EXTRA
PREX stands for Premiere + Extra PREX1,2, and 3 do not have this mode.... but PREX3 has Nightmare mode which is argueably worst.....
Extra machines are rare... so are some of the songs on them. |

Ok, not to anger anyone by bringing up the topic of DDR  , but I just noticed that the middle panel of my Cobalt Flux is really the R1 button. Has anyone used their CF to play PIU on their pc? |

Hey, I just started playing pump it up about 3 weeks ago. I work for the local Namco Time out and we got in a Perfect Collection. I must say I am very addicted. I can beat all the normals with an S Including Mr. Larpus, and I can beat a decent ammount of the doubles but I can only beat 3 or four of the hard mode songs. Anyone have any suggestions on what I Should start out with on the harder songs? Anyhow thanks.

Slam isnt the HARDEST PIU song, but its waaay harder than Can Can...I can B that...cant pass Slam worth crap. Holiday on the other hand is just insane. anyone been stupid like me and play it on double?
Dark Samurai, start with like First Love, Run To You, and stuff like that on hard mode to get the hang of it. |
