Personally, I love every single Paranoia I've ever heard (which is a lot). But, I've got a few questions about them.
1. Just how many Paranoias are there/What are they?
2. Who writes/remixes them?
3. WHYYYY are there so many? |

1) Right now there are 8 in all: Paranoia (the original), Dirty Mix, KCET (Clean Mix), Rebirth, Evolution, Eternal, Survivor, and Survivor Max. Also, the upcoming DDR Party Collection is going to have a new one: Paranoia ~Respect~.
2) They're all done by Naoki, I believe.
3) It's meant to be one the harder songs in the game. As the players have gotten better, the song's gotten harder. The 1st arcade mix had the original Paranoia. Players mastered that one, so DDR 2nd Mix had Dirty Mix, which is a bit harder. Then 3rd had Rebirth, which was harder still... and so on.

As one thing leads to another, now I have a few more questions...
1. What's up with Naoki and all her aliases?
2. What about the others I find on Kazaa and like places like Paranoia Evil, Massive, and Destruction? Are those just unlicensed remixes? |

1. First off, most people refer to NAOKI as a male, so he probably is. He probably has so many aliases since it would be boring looking at a songlist like this...

First and foremost, 2MB is awesome. All his remixes are an honor to play... except MAX.
Second, looking through my DDRMAX manual for PS2 (  ), I see that Naoki goes by many names. Too many to list, but he basically does a large variety of songs with his... 26 aliases.
However, he is not 2MB. Looking some more in the booklet that hath never beenth openth by thee hands, someone named U1-ASAMi created Healing Vision (Angelic Mix) and ORION.78 (Civilization Mix)... and since they're both labeled as 2MB songs, I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that U1-ASAMi made KCET and MAX.
Besides, MAX. doesn't sound like Naoki's work anyways.
Oh, and there are so many because they rock to play. |

One fun fact about STM (Paranoia Eternal guy).
He plays at Muthos from time to time (though he lives in some god-forsaken place in the middle of i-don't-know-where-I-am-Tokyo), and is a pretty darn good player, too (one of the 8 of those at the time to pass Legend Road for the Internet Ranking; he was ranked #7)
I don't have so many pics of him, and the ones I do are rather misleading about his skill; here is one when he was "warming up" with a round of light songs:

First, 2MB is a GIRL, (her other alias to U1-USAMI) I love all the 2MB
remixes. Orion.78 Civilization mix and Healing vision are my fav. KCET also,i have yet to play MAX. myself, though ive seen it and heard it.
i thought Naoki would make the last of the MAX's but leave it to 2MB to leave us in  again.

Im pretty positive 2MB is not a girl. And even though U1-ASaMi is never officially listed as BEING 2MB, it's pretty obvious that HE is. And i say he because the U1 dancer character IS MALE (i.e. NO BEWBS!). I did originally think that 2MB was female though, probably because Orion.78 civi mix was the first 2MB song I ever heard, with all that "HUH! HUH! HUH! HUH!" that the girl is singing.

There is a second Dirty Mix of Paranoia Max, which debuted in some club version and also appeared in DDRMAX US. Not to mention that there are also numerous other Paranoia mixes for the Beatmania series (I've heard of a Funky Bleep Mix and a Jazzy Groove Mix).

Funky Bleep Mix is the another version of Paranoia Max (Dirty Mix) from the old beatmania games. |
