Hey thanks for posting King Nautilus. I did a google search for shoes by Hurley and found some really nice lookin, lightweight shoes that sported a lot of traction. I didn't find the ones with "soap" on the bottom, but still...good shoes (and nice lookin too!)

yo I use a pair of black nike's they look plain but on the bottom the tread seems kinda of weird yo like almost bulbous in the center of the sole on the front and back part but it's coo like for real I don't know if they have a particular name associated with them but they were only 40 bucks at famous footwear.

I have to play barefoot, seriously ask anyone who knows me. Its easier to feel the pad and where you are. I've even built up a slight tolerance for slides and jumps.

Me? I wear sandals. Seriously. The sandals with two straps across the toes and one strap behind the ankle. They are just sooo comfortable and I can feel the buttons much better beneath my feets. The only downside is that they are very old and falling apart. E15.gif I'm keeping 'em together with super glue and duct tape.

Call me crazy, but I wear my old worn out nike's when I play. I just feel like I play the best in the arcades with those on. But well, since I haven't gotten any new sneakers in awhile, I suppose I have no basis for comparison...biggrin.gif

I wear a pair of old, beat up nikes when I'm at home on my redoctane metal, but I wear my fairly new New Balance sneaks when I go to the arcade. The nikes are more comfortable and let me play longer, but the NBs let me feel the pad better since they're still snug. Although the NBs cut down my playign time a little since I need to break more often cuz of over-toasted tootsies erm.gif

I wear Vans when I play DDR..

or basically whatever is on my feet (unless I'm barefooted, I don't want to get all those germs from my machine onto my feet or hit a screw or something).

I only have one pair of shoes..and I wear that pair all the time, so those are my DDR shoes... E4.gif

The best shoes I wear when it comes to dancing at the arcade, are my Adidas =) man I love that super grip on the bottom, and no sliding esspecially if youre doing some rough songs, and when I'm at home I could dance in my socks, but I've danced in socks at the arcade without slipping, cause theres a certain way you move your feet and balance when youre doing ddr. Sort of balance on the ball of your feet and not too much on your heels or you'll slip drastically.
Also and foremost dancing in barefeet is a risk, counting >_> you may step onto a screw and cry "AIIIIEEE" which would be a good play off if youre playing Afronova riiight.gif

Oh Yeah, but they tend to get holes and need replacing after a day or two of hard dancing! E13.gif

I wear Pumas. But it doesn't really matter to me what shoes I'm wearing. I just wear these cause I guess they look nice.

WOWWY KA-ZOWWY! I'm shocked no one has mentioned Saucony's! Those shoes are awesome! They weigh almost nothing so you can feel the pad really nicely, and they have awesome traction because they're kind of like Cross-Trainers. Also, I tried playing in socks at the 'cade and when I was doing a corner double (up-right or somethin') I slipped, fell back, hit my head on the pad, cracked it open and got a concussion. Pretty damn proud of it too!

E1.gif My shoes are Reebok. -Takes off his shoe to look at it- It's black...with a silver stripe on the side. Has some weight to it but it has great grip on the pad... Plus they're pretty worn in and I also add these gel thingys for my heels so I have better endurance when I play... Over all these shoes are good. I can't stand to think of going bare foot...icky all those germs and then the screws and sweating..... goog.gif messy.
