They suck. They are the worst metal pads, known as the cheap 3rd party metal pads. The arrows will crack and the contact system just plain sucks, so it will be unresponsive after a while. DO NOT BUY IT!!!! |

Diablo is right, those are THE worst metal pads on the market!
DO NOT BUY!
Low Price = crap pad
Higher price (at least above or at $200) = better pads
Buying ONE RedOctane metal pad is better than buying SIX of these
Buying ONE CobaltFlux is better than buying THREE RedOctane's
(based on quality not pricing )
Yea so dont buy that, go for teh RedOctane, you only need to save like another $70-$80, but It'll be well worth it!! _________________

IIDX, is right buy a Cobaltflux pad or Red Octane. MyMyBox is also a good pad. I have one and it works really good. |

MMB, good? What the hell are you talking about? They suck! They're like the other cheap 3rd party metal pads. They have acrylic arrows which will crack easily and they use the cheap foil on copper contact system. |

I have one that seems to be very comparible to the pad in that link (mine's a Cypher Games pad). While I wouldn't say the pad sucks, the quality is less than a more expensive pad. But that seems to be what people are forgetting when they tell you to buy a Cobalt Flux pad. Obviously if we could afford to we would all be buying CF's. So people, let's be a little more constructive than simply saying "That pad SUCKS! Buy a CF!"
With the pad I own, most people said all that same stuff to me, but I find that it suits my needs and replicates the feel of an arcade pad to a desirable degree (certainly more so than a soft pad). I haven't had mine long enough to say whether it will crack, but I've been told they all do. So do a little research in the modding threads here. |

Umm, you do realize that CF and RO pads are 3rd party as well right? The only first party metal pad isn't in production anymore and costs a buttload. _________________

I'm in complete agreement. Honestly I have a Cypher games pad as well (actually two) I've had to do a few mods to them but you know what? They work. And you know what else? I got a pair for less than a CF cost. I realize that I'm not going to be into DDR forever, hell I've already lost a lot of interest in it.
Not all of us have the money for a CF and not all of us see the worth in throwing that much money into a single pad. If you find that to be what you want to do with your money then that's fine, but when someone asks about the quality of a pad don't just say "it sucks buy this". They're really trying to ask for those people who actually know something about these pads to say something about them and have things to say about how you can make them work and last you a long time. _________________
