obviously i dont think that way,...... im from a small country in centralamerica, and DDR is relatively new to the ppl here,.... we got the first arcade game this march,.... and since them...... its popularity has grown a lot.

its funny to see how the non-players see this game. at the beginning there were only guys, and me, the only girl, playing. later on, there were formed "clans" (this was totally uncounciously).

now there are something like 10 playing girls in whole the country, and 50 male players,... (between light and heavy),.... thehehehe. its funny being a girl, play in hard mode, and have guys ask ya how much time u spent in training,..... XD

i only wanted to point that out.

here it's mainly guys playing.... in fact it's rare for girls to play were i live but i DID'T say there aren't any....

It's not really that big of a deal, most girls think it's not even that worth trying out while others try and then kick buttocks in it...i'd know since the team me and my brother started has 8 girls in it and only 6 guys hahahahah (btw it does include me and him)

ya, I'd agree with that, mostly guys around here too, alot of goth people too I've noticed. and most of the girls that play around here are either good or bad, never in between. wish there were more tho

I'm trying to teach a new girl to play. She's cute too. I hope she does get better (she's only up to a 2 lol) that would be awsome if we can make our own freestyle routine in like... a year lol... if its still popular... =/

In the areas that I've been and played, the game was mostly played by guys. Pensacola was the only place that I saw a good number of girls play and they were really good too.

Where I live it's a guys game. Not that I haven't seen any girls play around, just I haven't seen any girls that were good at the game. It's mostly because they're embarassed that they're gonna look stupid in front of other people. I've only seen one girl be able to do heavy. Is it like this all over the place or do you think I just live in a weird area? Meanwhile there are plenty of guy players, so it's not unpoplular or somethin.

At the arcade I go to it's almost all guys playing except for me and two of my friends. Mostly the girls like to watch and cheer for us (which is hilarious/distracting at the same time since they don't know us).

When we have DDR day in Japanese club at my school I'm the only girl who plays at all! It's sad.

Around half of the regulars in my area are female, and most of them are at cata level or over. There's a few up-and-coming ones, and there's only four of us that play double seriously.

The girls in my area are more than happy to just watch you play (apart from the loudmouth 'nesian skanks). Sometimes they'll get on and play, only when there's hardly anyone around.

Well where I come from there isnt a DDR machine anywhere near...I travel 30 minutes to play...I play in Anderson SC and there are like 3 girls that play that are actually pretty good....I also met a girl at the Vans Skatepark in the Mall Of Georgia before they close down....damnit!!!!!....that was pretty good....Did anybody ever play there?

Yeah, well I like this girl who I see DDR every once in a while. Just maybe if I stop being selfish and thinkin about myself I talk to her and what not. We both play different, she's the better PAer and doesn't rape while I'm the opposite I can PA but not like her/I rape and stomp and play Doubles. It be interesting to see we teach other diff things and maybe who knows.

It's a great pleasure to see more and more females beginning to play this game around here...it's growing and the females are learning at an alarming rate. Seems like the boyfriends of these girls don't want to to play DDR because they're afraid to look stupid. Well everyone has to start somewhere. DDR couples would be cool. Where I play...we have several ranges of ages and genders playing..male , female...and the like it's a great thing for the DDR community around here even though no big names play where I play....it's all about having fun here. Nothing better than that. I like it that way here. No big names. No drama. No stupid over competitvness. Perfect.
