Skate shoes are usually the shoes that I find the most comfortable. They offer lots of support, are very cushioned, and are extremely comfy. |

I usually just play with my skate shoes. Sometimes I take my shoes off for better PA. _________________

ya thats true goin shoeless can hurt sometimes, especially when hitting the up arrow, and sometimes left and right, on a metal Red Octane. Those metal dividers really kill the bottoms of my feet if i stomp on them. But when im im in my shoes i cant feel the pad nearly as well as without, so i guess it's worth the pain.
On a bloodier note, my friend ripped his toe open playing shoeless while trying to get through doubles maniac "Burning Heat!" So i guess there is something to be said about shoes. I imagine good ones would be light, flexible, grippy, and with ball-support in the front so you dont mash your feet in. But ya know i have seen that performance is determined, somewhat, by what you're wearing, so its not like it isnt important _________________

I've played barefoot, but NEVER do it on heavy, because with all the high BPM songs, you'll be hitting the screws on the corner of the squares alot, AND THAT'S JUST PAINFUL! IT HONESTLY HURTS! So yeah, when doing faster paced songs, I prefer skate shoes, they're flat on the bottoms, so they help me keep my balance. |

I play in socks, i think it's better to "feel" the arrows and slide over it. Barefoot, your feet tend to sweat on the pad when you play too long and with shoes... it makes too much noise for my neighbourhood |

Sporting my standard Nike running shoe. It's what I've always played in, and they don't do me wrong. |

Definitely shoes. This one time some girls asked me to do CSFILSM... xcept my laces broke right before I was going to start so I ended up going barefoot. PAIN. I can usually blitz CSFILSM but I just got absolutely hosed that time -- was struggling to keep the lifebar existent and in the last 15 seconds just folded completely.
Sorry but I tend to play flatfoot and minimised (always touching the inner corners of the panels), which means a lot of screw time (whoops did I just say that?). Without shoes that's just nasty |
