Isn't that a bit sterotype? I know tons of people who argn't asian and play DDR. I'm tired of people thinking DDR is just for asians. |

Play workout mode
Play a bunch of 10 footers..unless you are not to that yet, play whatever foot level you're on.
Play for an hour or more
Set a "burning calories" goal for each day (for me I go for 700) |

From my experience playing ten games in a row (30 songs and a hell of a lot of time) lost me about 4 pounds. I was 107 now I'm 103 (I'm 5 ft if anyone cares). I think the best way to loose weight is to play often, it'll help loose the weight and keep it off.
I sound like a commercial for weight watchers....scary _________________

Insted of doing push-ups and crunches, you should just keep playing. i find it much more fun to play ddr than work out, and i find my self much more worn out and sweety after playing the game. |

Well, I'm a white man, and I have lost weight playing the DDR. About 70 pounds to be exact. _________________

Okay, there's a HUGE difference between Asians and AZNs.
As an Asian, I get pissed whenever someone refers to all Asians as AZN. We actually treat people as equals, as opposed to AZNs, who only hang out with other AZNs, and only if they're the same nationality as them. Apparently, if you're not a commonly-blooded AZN, you get dragged through the mud. _________________

u need to pace urself, and actually be knowledgeable of ur progress in the weight losing.
dont resort to ddr as only option of weight loss. other exercises are good too.
and that asian comment... not cool. _________________

Play slowly and progress slowly. You can't push yourself especially when you just started. Losing weight will take a while, but as long as you keep it up, being not-so-fat is just right ahead of you. |

About 15 pounds since March... and 3 inches off my waist, so now all my shorts and pants don't fit me right.
*raises hand* I'm not Asian. In fact, I go to the #1 rated university for diversity in America, and we have a ton of Asians. And every one of them that play DDR can't beat me. The next best to me that I've even seen is 2 feet level under me. So no, they don't always rock the machine. It all depends on how long you've played, and how good you progress.
By the way... still waiting for more people to visit my university's machine. |
