IIDX timeing question

i have 6th style right now on my ps2 and i still have timeing it so i get flashing greats. so do i press the keys ON or BEFORE the red line? or if im wrong about this plz help. thanx.

Another tip...play with headphones! You'll notice the timing of your notes better, assuming your headphones are good enough. Ones that block outside noise work well.

I use Sony MDR-V6 headphones. They're hard to find nowadays, and will run you at least $80, but they kick serious buttocks.

sweet thanks for the help ppl. i brought my ps2 to school today and played during lunch. i think my timeing did get a little better thanks again.
