They have to have some original songs or else they will spend a fortune trying to buy licenses to fill up the empty 50+ song slots. Plus, alot of em are pretty decent.

Especially Kakumei and V; DDR seriously needs to promote classical music

Why do you need Konami Original Songs? Because most of them are better than the licensed songs. Case in point: IIDX. (although it has much better licensed songs than DDR has) Without Konami Original Songs, you wouldn't have artists like Akira Yamaoka, TaQ, Taka, Mr. T, and good-cool.

Konami Originals rock! Most songs I listen to on internet radio these days are Konami Originals. Because of these Konami Originals, I've discovered music genres I didn't know existed before, such as Hyper Rockbeat, Hyper Eurobeat...well, most stuff Naoki does. If it weren't for Naoki comming up with the music genre Hyper Rockbeat, I would never have been able to write Fire Rising Style, which I wrote with the intention that Naoki would probably want that song. If Naoki does want Fire Rising Style, I give him 100% permission to use it anyway he wants, since it's completely his style.
