For me the arrows went away within a week. I can play for hours now, and they don't come back.

I remember a long time ago someone posted a scientific and nerdy explination of why this occurs. I remember it being quite interesting.

I wish I knew why it happens myself.

I see them too.

Particularly that run of eighths in Super Star Heavy that I'm so fond of (although at that speed, I don't really qualify those as eighths).

I tap out beats to songs I hear, I recognize songs I've heard in DDR, and I'm guilty of saying of songs that aren't in DDR "Hey, that song should be in DDR!"

Anyone who can give the aforementioned scientific explanation for this phenomenon gets a cookie.

I see arrows a lot listening to any music...I think it's awsome. It's like, I once was at the point where I thought "Wow, what would this song be like in DDR?" and now I know. The songs are actually consistent as well...as in if I listen to the same song over and over the arrow patterns don't change much. It's crazy...for me it's a result of DDR withdrawl. I've been away from me and my frind's home version for almost a month, playing it only occasionally. I'm too sick to go to arcades often or to play at all...so my mind makes DDR for me. I just have to provide music.

Yes, I'm crazy.

I see arrows all the time when I close my eyes. I think it's my subconcious telling me to go to the arcade and play more DDR

Whenever I listen to music I tend to close my eyes and see arrows and try to match the patterns with my feet. I suggest not trying to stand up and do this because if you try to dance with your eyes closed you'll fall down. Trust me, I know from experience

I am really bad then because I tap, whistle, or stomp to DDR songs in class and people are getting annoyed even my teachers......

The arrow effect is gone but the tapping and all that stuff stay with me until the end of time....
