There is only one song(correct me if I'm wrong) in DDR whose full combo on Heavy Singles is all the same number: I feel..., with a FC of 333.
"A"(The song) stands for Agony. I'm not sure if V means anything. Oh, and V is a remake of Vivaldi's Winter(Everyone knows this already, I know. But I just HAD to put it )
The female singer of Moonlight Shadow is(or was) the female lead in the group E-Rotic.
Shiyuna Maehara is the only member of BeForU who hasn't done anything solo.(Riyu Kosaka=CANDY<3/Dive To The Night etc. Yoma Komatsu=ever snow Noria Shiraishi=Glorious Days/Love^2 Sugar)
The first dancing characters ever used were Afro and Lady(the blonde one), on 1st mix.
There's an Aerosmith song on DDR!(But like, it's redone badly and stuff...the song "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing")
Umm...that's all for me. _________________

The Legend of MAX gets to 666 BPM. However, at this pace you are standing on freeze arrows, so you never have to step that quickly. More interesting is that when it is at 666 BPM, you hear a very satanic voice saying "FEAR".
Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude" was Op. 10 No. 12, one of his most famous pieces composed to date.
V is a take from the song "Winter" from Antonio Vivaldi's four seasons.
The leader of Bemani cannot read sheet music.
Most of DDR's songs are in 4/4 time due to pacing requirements. However, some songs such as Holic are placed in different time signatures. |

I didn't know, i've never played V before.
I believe Holic is in 7/8 and I know cutie chaser is in 3/4. I think there is another one that isn't 4/4. What about pacing requierments though? _________________

Heh, sorry 'bout that. It's just that I always seem to see threads about classical remakes like Kakumei and V, I thought everyone would know. But like I saw on someone's sig, "Assuming is the mother of all f*ck ups". _________________

I thought Holic was always in 4/4 time. It just goes on the downbeat for 4 counts and on the upbeat for 4 counts....I think...
Anyway, the scrolling arrows themselves alternate colors...I think it goes yellow, blue violet, orange and back to yellow... It's something like that, but the colors do change.
The inside of the arrows go with the 1/4, 1/8, and 1/16 beats of the song you are playing.
When failing (or nearly failing) a song, the dance meter flashes red in time to the beat, when it's full (turns red-orange) it "pulsates" in time to the beat, and if the dance meter is anywhere in between those two, it "pulsates" to half of the actual tempo.
That's all I can think of... |

The 200 Combo point in Sakura: Heavy lies directly on the infamous 1/32nd step at 14 BPM during the freeze.
When you AAA a song, the final score you get is equal to the song's foot rating times 10,000,000 (Or is that just 1,000,000?)
Your foot must be off a freeze for 13(11?)/16ths a beat in order for it to become an NG.
The first 9 foot songs were introduced in 3rd Mix, the first 10 footers were introduced in DDR Max (However, refer to the fact below)
The Arcade version of DDR Max did not display foot ratings, only the groove radar was displayed. Therefore, Max 300 did not OFFICIALLY become labeled a 10 footer until DDR Max2.
Daikenkai means "Big Opinion", some say it means "Big Misunderstanding".
Daikenkai, (Despite all that you believe in) is not a 9 footer until you set it to Doubles, Challenge. (It should be a 9 footer all around...)
Drop Out was an 8 footer on Mixes Previous to DDR Max 2.
The Hardest songs on DDR 1st Mix were the original "Paranoia" and the Original "Trip Machine"
Sana Morette ne Ente is actually a song about how fun it is to play "BeatMania" (Or something like that)
Genom Screams (Doubles Heavy) is the only 10 footer that lies between 100 and 200 BPM (I can't recall the actual BPM off the top of my head)
Bag is Mighty! (Hey, You said facts...)
The ever popular "Matsuri Japan" is actually from "Dance Maniax", not DDR.
"Matsuri" Means "Festival" and "Tsugaru" is the name of the guitar-esque instrument used to play the song (From what I've heard).
The Maximum Oni Point Score for "Legend Road" is 8208.
Ok, My brain hurts, I'll post this now,.... _________________

A DDR solo pad with the "deluxe" upgrade (trick bar, some extra side lights), weighs close to 450 lbs, so the regular double DDR pad has to weigh at least that. |

-Matsuri Japan maniac/heavy is the only 9 foot song that doesn't contain a single jump. (although this could have changed by now)
-you can get all perfects and 10 misses on MaxX Unlimited Heavy, and it will still be a AA due to the large amount of freeze arrows that the song contains.
-Electrotuned has a BPM change.
-Just like Max 300, The Legend of Max also has a 573 full combo, and Max. (period) has 573 steps.
-Max 300 Doubles Heavy has only 30 more steps than Dead End Doubles Heavy
-girls breasts bounce when playing DDR, and so do some males
-the hardest song in DDR is now argueably Max. (period), which features steps from the original Paranoia 180. The easiest part of the song is probably the steps taken from Paranoia 180. During 1st mix times, Paranoia was considered the hardest song, and the steps featured in Max. (period) were considered the hardest steps. This was perhaps done intentionally to show how much DDR has evolved in terms of difficulty.
-on DDR Extreme, there are five times as many songs starting with a number than songs starting with the letter 'Y'.

Not necessarily; the solo pad could be specially weighted down so that it doesn't tip sideways, whereas the rectangular standard stage doesn't have that problem. Either way EM2 stages say "100kg" on them, which is about 221 pounds.
Love Shine and Last Message (I think there are others) have Challenge steps. They were hidden at the last minute though, and can only be got at if they come up in the Player's Best Oni courses, and then you have to mess about with the menu somehow to get them to come up. They're also quite hard so good luck clearing them on Oni having never seen them before.
The Last Message Challenge steps (if those are actually real) are downright strange. They don't even start until halfway through the song, then all of a sudden there's an absolute crapheap of LR arrows just after the chorus. Then another largish gap and then a whole bunch of 1/8th Left arrows. My theory about this is that Naoki or whoever was halfway through composing the Challenge steps (every time I try to make DWIs I always encode the rhythm as a whole bunch of R's and then figure out the actual steps later), left the scratch data on the development server then forgot about it, but then it all got compiled for the final build and ended up in the official release (except the Hidden flag was still set). I wonder if Konami use Stepmania for internal development? That'd be pretty funny
The Legend of MAX also has challenge steps like these, except they are exactly identical to the Heavy steps. Guess they wanted to make a Challenge version but thought better of it (good choice).
The unlockable songs on Extreme always come up during Roulette -- if you've got really good timing you can play them on any stage you want and with whatever mods or difficulty you want. I know this because my local Extreme is a rubbishy bootleg and unlocks don't work so this is the only way to play Sakura without AAing a 10 foot (which is not as hard as it sounds because you can use speed mods in pursuit of an Extra Stage, so you can use Bag on 4x) |

If you care to play it on heavy, there are are a lot of 6 step combos consisting of 8th beats, then an 8th beat break, then another 6 step combo of 8th beats. It does this quite often. The 8th beat break is supposed to be the 7th beat of the measure, only the step charts divide it into 4/4 anyway. It helps to complete the song if you count to 7 while doing it. At least it does for me. _________________

-there is a picture of naoki in the back of the ddrmax manual, but not in the max2 manual.
-in the naoki interview in the back of the ddrmax manual, he mentions candy(heart) as one of his favorite songs, although that song is a max2 song....hmmm o_O
-holic IS 4/4 time
-im pretty sure Speed Over Beethoven might be in 3/4 time, considering that the original Fur Elise is in 3/4 _________________

- In the background of Afronova on 3rd Mix, the yellow beast-person in the middle is actually a photoshopped picture of Reese Witherspoon.
- 573 is more than just the magic number for Max300; it's been present long before that. The default high scores for 3rd Mix Nonstop courses is 573,000. Also, the default time for MAX2's Oni high scores is 0:57.30.
- The max combo for 321 Stars is, oddly enough, 321.
- The scarcest Heavy song is 5.1.1. with a mere 103 steps. By comparison, Cartoon Heroes Light - a 4-footer - has 203 steps and 2 Freezes.
- If you fail a song while playing Versus (or on a machine with autofail turned off), you will only score 10 points for every Perfect and OK Freeze and 5 points for every great from that point forward.
- The background animation to the song Dance Dance Revolution is actually a compilaiton of the opening videos for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th mixes of DDR.
- Finally, the Oni steps to DDR are a sampling of steps from a number of older DDR songs. They are, in order: Brilliant 2 U Orchestral Groov, Dead End, Dynamite Rave, Afronova, End of the Century, AM-3P, Celebrate Nite, and B4U. _________________

Im assuming hes talking about MAX2USA and not MAX2JP, seeing as MAX2USA was a step back and not a step forward like MAX2JP _________________
