We had third a long time ago, actually I would probably prefer it if we had it now. Sure it's easier but at least it has better songs. Then again, I would prefer any mix to 8th.

Organizing the song list:
On the menu, hit Bass + Hi-Tom twice.

Bonus Track Encore Stage: Infinite

anyone got a favorite removed song? or how about a favorite song that could be harder/easier?

Anyway, I just recently saw some kid and their 3 friends (all in front of me) at the arcade in front of DM, they all picked "Russian Roulette" and "Crossroad" on beginner mode. blink.gif And got an E on every try. disturb.gif If I never hear those songs again, I won't be sad one bit. When I started at least I would try other songs, and I didn't have the convenience of a beginner mode. I also wasn't tonedeaf. (They also tried GF disturb.gif )

I've been searching for new drummania controllers for the PS2 or a USB interface for the computer for a couple months now, but I keep falling short only finding that dinky little red POS controller. disgust.gif I know DDR has home metal pads, but is there a better controller for a home drummania game. Also, does anyone know where I could find a sim or emulator for drummania? (Kinda like DWI or Stepmania)

*Edit* I found the FAQ page in these forums, went to www.japanvideogames.com, and searched Yamaha DD-50, but came up with nothing. Now from what I read on the first page of the FAQ, I can go out and buy any electronic drum set and plug it into a midi port on my comp. and play any emulated drummania. Has anyone tried to do this and if so, how did it go? Thanks guys.

Dark1.5:

YOu need to SS your Extra stage song in order to access the Premium Encore Stage: Timepiece Phase II

If you S the Extra, you only get the regular Encore song (Is that Model DD5? I forget.)

Nope, DM 9th is the first mix to have a Premium Encore Stage. Expect them in the future mixes, though.

~Chris

However, I think DM7th has different Extra and Encore stages depending on if you S a Bonus Track or Normal mode. Not certain though.

Probably. DM 6th and 8th both do it, so that likely includes 7th. Damned if I know what the songs are, though. ;-)

I think an SS qualifies as 98% perfects? Not certain though.

Ah, thanks for that info, Slake.

In recent versions of GF and DM, you need a full combo with no Goods for SS. The requirements were slightly different in GF4/DM3 and earlier. I'm not positive about GF5/DM4, but I think they fit into the "recent" category as well.

Wow, I just always assumed SS didn't exist on 3rd because I've FCed Jet World, Anarchy in the UK, and Furi Furi 60 like a hundred times and never gotten one.

I can confirm that SS exists on 3rd Mix. I got one by FCing a song with no Goods (and 95% perfects; I don't know if that makes a difference).

SS has been around since 2nd mix I believe (possibly 1st).
To get an SS you must have no good, poor or misses (the perfect % doesnt matter).

On DM9, to get Timepiece Phase II (premium encore), you must get 98% perfects or above on Agnus Dei / Cockpit - not necessarily an SS. For GF, you must get 97% perfect or above.

For more info, visit www.dmgfc.org for everything about DMGF.

SS is definitely not in 1st Mix, but it could be in 2nd. I've never played that one, though.
