Drew Gamble recently set the DDR world record at 37 ½ hours, as a fundraiser for Grandma’s House, a faith-based nonprofit home and outreach ministry for homeless or abused teens who are pregnant. Congratulations!

I think you mean 37 and 1/2. The other guy failed after 17 and 1/2.

Does anyone know if they played light, standard, heavy, what?

Haw. That's amazing. I think it said that he got a break every 8 hours (?).
You can't really tell how hard it was without knowing which difficulty. I spose even standard songs could get tiring after 37 or so hours... *Claps hands* Good job d00d. (I may be congratulating an invisible person, though) *Ponders* Wonder if hes on DDRFreak... E19.gif

I dunno, I'd simply get tired of standing after 37 hours...

Great job! E13.gif

Congrats man. I wonder how long he's been playing to have all that endurance. That's cool though, that he gets to play the game he likes for a charity/fundraiser. I wonder if he'll be a sleep for the winter? laugh.gif

Sheesh, that's insane. Although I'm sure it's quite doable if you just play Light songs and you keep yourself hydrated and nourished.

Wow, That's pretty impressive. He's got alot of determination.

It is one of my life goals to set a world record. My first attempt was pogosticking, but I got too darn tired after about 13 hours. (record like 7days or something outrageous like that)

Some day I may attempt to break this record. (now where to find an owner of a machine to lend it to me, and a charity for donation) Anybody got suggestions. E13.gif

Anyways congrats to gamble on his accomplishment.

I was standing next to drew, trying to keep him awake for the last 14 hours or so. I was kinda wondering how I didn't end up in any pictures, the news people said they got me, but oh well. He played on beginner for most of the time, but I don't know about what they did early in the game. All I know is that my other friend Chris was going for the record with him and got suckered into playing Sakura on heavy and he failed because he was tired I guess. But jeez, that was kinda kool being able to support one of my friends like that.
Ok, there's this kid, Kyle, he is 11 or 12, and he is REDICULOUSLY good at DDR. I was afraid that when he went with drew for like 15 minutes that he would earn the extra stage, thus putting reverse and x1.5 on the next song ( I doubt that Drew would have gone long with that happening ). BTW my name is Kris (every guy in Bend is named Chris, besides Drew of course) and I'll end this by saying, Happy DDRing!!! (cuz drew won't be for a while)

If I had some kind of ambition to do so, I think I might be able to hold up for 37 1/2 hours. I'd like to shake this guys hand!

Laughed at: What a loser! Played DDR for like 1.5 days virtually non-stop?? There are better ways to raise money. What shmuck sponsored that?

This December, Pickles and Oni Tony (of Canada) are planning to break the world record of 37 1/2 hours. Just incase anyone was interested... sometime between December 27-29th.
