stepmania problem

i just downloaded the new version of stepmania, but when i start it up the screen is completely black and i cant see anything. i can hear it in the background, which means its working (i can hear it moving between options and such), what can i do so that i can actually see the game?

What graphic card you have and has it ran good before and what are the specs on your computer?

Also check that it is not the Alpha version. Alpha and Beta mean that there is still lots of testing and coding to be done. Go with Stepmania 3.0. It is the most stable.
