This has probably been done before, but . . .
What new DDR announcers would you like to hear?
Don't limit it to likely announcers either. If Silent Hill can pass as an actual DDR song, then we can have Mario ask us what difficulty we want.
A few others . . .
The Fuzion Frenzy announcer, Master Chief from Halo, and the Protoss Carriers from StarCraft ("Carrier has arrived! The menu time is dwindling...and STILL you procrastinate!").

Now that I think about it, Akrobatik, the announcer from Amplitude, would probably be a pretty good DDR announcer, for the US versions if nothing else.

I've always wanted the Street Fighter Alpha 3 announcer. Imagine at the beginning of a song instead of "don't you want the full combo" we could have "Nobody blink. TRIUMPH OR DIE!" 
Maybe I'll make him into a Stepmania announcer. |

| I wouldn't mind them bringing back the solo/extra mix announcer minus the "WHOOOOO" part. She sounds like Lina Inverse from the dub version of Slayers. |

That would be awesome! It made me think of how bad the DOA3 announcer would be . . .
On a darker note, it would be possible to make a mix of Quake and Unreal soundclips for gameplay. Just think - A one hundred combo would herald a "head shot," and two hundred gets you a "killing spree."
And not that I would want it, but someone's probably going to suggest a Pauly Shore announcer.

A month later, I've finally thought of some new announcers . . .
Don Pardo, the current announcer for Saturday Night Live.
Ayumi Hamasaki, who wrote UNite!
Duke Nukem (just think, selecting Paranoia Blast and hearing Duke say "Let's Rock").
...and the lead singer from Kittie.
Any thoughts?

New ones would say the same thing... or would you rather have the Dance With Intensity announcer?
All-time pick would have to be: Chiyo-chan, from Azumanga Daioh. 
other picks include:
1) Zakozakos from SD Gundam.
2) Sonic Characters (Eggman and Rouge for the slow, easy stuff, and Sonic and Shadow for stuff like Max 300)  |

see you got a good idea goin with the whole protoss thing, but it would if zeratul was the announcer.

your playing vs mode and at the start of your song you hear

the current announcer throws me off with the infamous
"you're not an ordinary fella"
"you are the king of dance"
"grab my heart"
"i enjoyed watching you dance"
"OH MY GOD!!!" (i hate that one!)
and when he starts talking in the background of a song it messes me up

This may only be legal in StepMania, but we could make a Simpsons combo platter of announcers. Just think . . .
DuffMan (Title screen) - "Who wants to PARTY? Are you ready to get DUFFED?" (pick Heavy mode) "Oh, yeah!"
Bart (after a series of BOOs) - "Ay caramba" or "Don't have a cow, man!"
Marge (500 combo) - "No, I will not pay you five hundred dollars for sex"
Comic Book Guy (after you finish)- "Best dance ever"
Lisa (after you fail) - "I'll be in my room"
Hmm...this may be implementable.
Hundreds of Simpsons soundclips are just a Google search away...I'll be in my room.
