DDR Survey Type Thing "Because I'm Curious"

I'm just curious to see what you guys say, but here's what came to my mind when I was playing DDR on a machine.

Ok, you step in front of a DDR machine. It's in PERFRECT condition.

What side would you play on?

What version did you start on (home/arcade)?

and this came up later in my pondering, and I wonder if it might affect anything- Are you left or right eye dominant?

For me:
1) Left
2) Home
3) Left

It just came to mind when I switched to the right pad and felt out of place. This isn't an attempt to get a high post count, I'm just curious.

I don't know what eye-dominant I am. But I ALWAYS used to demand that I get 2player side because it was the girl side, tee hee.
But that was only up until 5th mix. Now I don't really care that much, I usually play doubles anyway.

On the older versions the right side was the "girl side" while the left side was the "boy side". I used to play on the right but when DDRMAX2 was introduced to the bowling ally, The right side's select buttons broke temporarily. Thus I got used to using the left side.

I play on the right side because I started out always being the second player.

But, now, I play on both sides.
I started out playing at a friend's house. So home version it is.

Dominate eye threw me as well. Here is a link on how to figure out your dominate eye. Mine is left.

yeh i started out on the left side and have always played on that side for about 8 months now

but our 1p mat was a bit messed up so i had to use the right side and i felt ok apart from when i had to twist and turn then i kinda lost balance ...

i still do now even though i do play doubles but im not as bad as i used to be on the right.

but to answer the questions directly

let's see... i always play on the left side and i started at home...i don't think either of my eyes are dominant because i have contacts and the perscription is the same for both (if that counts for anything)

Maybe because I like blue and the number 1 better than orange and 2... so I always tend to drift towards the first-player side...

What side would you play on? either one. well the arcade i play at sometimes has a fan on the right side, and i like it blowing my face. i'm an idiot.

Well I would play on the right side, just because it is where i am more comfortable at the arcade, at home i play on what would be the left side.

My first time was at the arcade. After that i bought the homegames.

I am right eye domanaint. I used to be pretty equal, but a doctor screwed up my contacts, so then my right eye took over.

I almost refuse to play on the right side. It screws with me badly. I'm left eye dominant.

I play on the left side. I've always felt more comfortable playing on that side, and I like to play as guys on mixes that have characters. I started at home, with USA Disney Mix. I am, and always have been left eye dominant.

I feel really out of place and out of balance on the 2p (right) side of the machine. It doesn't really make me play worse (i beat the best player in out state in a tourney match on 2p side) but I feel really out of place. I started playing in the arcade.
