um ok well i am going to take this as "songs remixed and shoved into ddr"

Ordinary World was originally by Duran Duran

And "we will rock you" and "we are the champions" are by Queen

yeah you younin's have no idea who did any songs, you all think that whoever remixed or covered a song was the first to do it.

/rant about annoying people who know nothing about music, not to imply that that is you, but um yeah whatever.

Those first two were definitely NOT made popular by DDR.

Cartoon Heroes... maybe. I hadn't heard it until I played the one in DDR.

Same with Stomp to my Beat.

I'm sure Captain Jack's songs have become much more popular because of DDR. I bought one of his CD's.

Both of those songs were originally created by Queen.

uhhh... i hope you all realize that 99% of the music from DDR is from the dancemania compilations laugh.gif if being on a released complation doesn't qualify as "real music", i don't know what does.

true that. If you look on extreme, do the list by game then you will see that not even half of the songs are DDR originals. most of the songs are taken from the other bemani series (IIDX, etc. . . .)

I predict the following song will become very popular a few years from now, all because of DDR:

So Deep

E4.gif

On another note, I'm sure Chopin's Revolutionary Etude and Vivaldi's Four Seasons Winter 1st movement became very popular after DDR.

Alright...no, just to clear up a few things.

We Are the Champions
We Will Rock You
La Copa De La Vida
Conga Feeling
Sandstorm

And pretty much any other song was NOT popularized by DDR. DDR got these songs because they were already popular. Smoke was created by Jimi Hendrix, not Mr. Ed Drops the Gun or whatever, by the way. >.<

Being popular in America DOES NOT EQUAL not being popular. Captain Jack is very well known in Europe. All the licenses in DDR are more than likely popular in some part of the world, why else would Konami spend tons of money getting them.

Whoever said Lets Get Down Tonight was made popular by DDR, thats kinda sad you'd never heard that song before.
