im really sick of all of the people who dont know how to type. like "U Got 2 do da speed modifyre" and other stuff like this. It didnt used to be a big problem when i was on the boards alot. Im not trying to be rude, but can there be a little bit more inforcement on this?

Periods are after every word for emphasis. Notice "Most Ironic Post" is not a complete sentence and was not meant to be.
He's dissing peoples' spelling because the person who spells and writes bad is complaining about people who spell and write bad. Now, I usually don't have a problem with people who spell/write that bad, but if you're going to complain about it, you better make sure you can live up to the same standards. EndOfTomo most certainly did not spell and write correctly, so he made a fool out of himself.

here is what i think. as long as you can decipher what the person is trying to say, then u shouldnt complain.
no one is going to type something that is not understandable, because if no one understands, then the post is pointless. and no one wants that to happen, unless ur an idiot.

Why should the rest of us suffer through having to decipher a person's posts? Why can't the person making the posts take that little extra effort to make their post readable and make everyone happy?

I'd like to add that the way a person presents themselves is a window to who they are. Adding the extra intelligence by using a little effort might make a difference in that.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying.
The "don't read it" excuse is bullshit. You're not going to know if you can or can't understand it UNLESS you read it.
It is not unreasonable to ask people to post using proper English.

what i meant to say is that if u couldnt understand what a person is trying to say (the way the message is typed, not the message itself) in their post, dont bother to continue reading it as i feel that you shouldnt waste your time trying to figure out something like that.
and for me, asking people to use proper english is a good idea, but i dont wanna go through all that and ask people to explain something. it's just not my style. if you are comfortable with it, go for it.

ive yet to see a single post on this web site be compirized exclusivly of proper englsih (a thing most ap englsih teachers dont know)
logical or acceptible english shoudl be the standard
i knwo that my posts may SOMETIMES make words grammar fixer explode but honestly its not THAT hard to read (plus you dont get to complain im strugling with medical issues)

well said EBT. if u can understand which words are used, then it should be ok.
i type (mostly) without caps and use little short cuts to words but it is ususally obvious what the words are.
*but sometimes, a little effort is good.

I type as fast as I can. and I can type pretty damn fast.
what I think you're trying to say is that people should only type as fast as they are able to and still be able to and still be legible.
