In contrast to the kinds of songs you guys're posting, I probably risk great personal injury by posting my opinions here.

Seeing as though I rarely ever listen to music except the radio in the car, I hear lots of stuff, and you guys might think it's weird, but I often think "Hey, with the right steps, that just might possibly work for DDR!"

*braces for tacklings and projectile weaponry*

Big Yellow Taxi
How You Remind Me
A Thousand Miles
Complicated
Drift Away

And being a video game fan, I naturally like to see game music in games. Most suggestions from RPGs would get me shot. But everyone who plays RPGs seems to like One-Winged Angel (anyone who does not know what game it is from gets a cookie taken away, 'cuz by now everyone should know).

Please don't hurt me...

Ever play Ninja Gaiden? Best music for an 8-bit game ever. I'm working on a DWI for Bazilisk Mine Field (Level 4-2) right now.

You know, an all rock mix of DDR would be kinda cool...

...anyways:

K90-Dreaming
William Orbit-Adagio for Strings (excellent remix of the Homeworld PC game theme)
Orbital-Technologique Park
Drowning Pool-Bodies (Remixed Version)
That one song from the matrix that sounds like Betoven's Sonota #14, 1st Awakening (had to throw that one in E13.gif )

That's it for now, but I'm sure I'll think of some later.

OutKast - B.O.B. [Zach de la Rocha Remix] and the original mix as well.

Gorillaz - 19-2000 [soulchild remix] , Punk, M1 A1, 5/4, Re-Hash, Latin Simone (Que Pasa Contigo)[the version sung in Spanish]

Blur - Song 2 (woo hoo!), Crazy Beat

Queens of the Stone Age - No One Knows, First it Giveth, Feel Good Hit of the Summer

Foo Fighters - The One

Radiohead - Paranoid Android, 2+2=5(it could one of those that start slow and speed up in the middle)

311- Come Original, Creatures, Don't Stay Home, Down, Transistor, Flowing

Local H - Bound for the Floor, Half-Life, Hands on the Bible

Dave Matthews Band - I Did it (cause it has the potential for weird rhythms and steps), What Would You Say(you can't tell me this song isn't funky, even if you don't like it!)

Filter - The Best Things (it has a techno feel to it)

NIN - Burn, Perfect Drug, Head Like a Hole

RATM - Bulls on Parade, People of the Sun, Testify

RHCP - Give It Away, Around the World, By the Way

Smashing Pumpkins - The Everlasting Gaze

Soundgarden - My Wave, Superunknown, Head Down (that would be freaky and slow, people would hate the steps! E4.gif )

Thursday - Cross Out the Eyes, Understanding in a Car Crash, Jet Black New Year

Linkin Park - Place for my Head

Tool - Schism (because of the funky rhythm!)

After some responses in the New England board, I'm thinking a few of these might be better in Drummania, especially QOTSA songs that feature Dave Grohl on drums(he is the man!)

For whatever reason, the old version of this and the "Your favorite/least favorite DDR song" stickies got killed. As a result, we have to start over.

Here are some cool songs I would like to see on DDR:

"I Can't Stop Raving" club mix by DJ Liquid
"Make Me Bad" Sickness in Salvation Remix by Korn
"Blue" by Eiffel 65......(heh heh, just kidding)
"Du Hast" by Rammstein
"Chop Suey" by System of a Down

I know, I know; some of these songs aren't good dancing songs. But I'd still like them on DDR, only because I've memorized the music and would know them better.

Doesn't anybody here like AC/DC? Their songs would be the bomb, and some of them are practically public domain already. Well, not completely...but still, I've heard 'You Shook Me All Night Long' in so many places, it might as well be. That and 'Highway to Hell'. I'd get so good at any AC/DC song on a DDR machine....

I'd also like any KMFDM, at least 'Juke Joint Jezebel', that one made it onto several soundtracks.

BiLE's 'I Reject' was on like a dozen movie soundtracks, their songs are great also.

Master of Puppets - Metallica (that'd be a workout... good BPM and a tempo change or two)

Crazy in Love - B.Knowles

'C' is for Cookie - Cookie Monster ( laugh.gif )[short, sweet, and would be great for corrupting the young masses E10.gif]

Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Funky Cold Medina - Tone Loc (it's a classic! some good beats)

Temptation -
The Bazzar - The Tea Party

Home for a Rest - Spirit of the West

Supernaut - Blacksabbath (1000 homo DJs feat. Trent Reznor) --just a wicked remix of a good metal song

Stomp - George Clinton & Parlaiment Funkadelic (just 'cause it's P-Funk)
