Advice needed.

Sorry if this is more suited to the forum where you talk about controllers and such.. I wasn't sure if it should go here or there, honestly.

Anyway, my parents decided to buy me a RedOctane Metal Pad for my birthday, and it arrived today. The problem is, my birthday is still 13 days from now and they've told me I can't use it until then. It's not so much that I'm going to die if I can't, but I'm worried waiting will cause a problem if there's anything wrong with the pad. It took some kind of crazy journey according to the tracking number I got, from CA to Ohio all the way back to CA, and it's box is a little kicked up, but nothing too terrible. I know RO says 60 days on their site, but oddly it said 30 on the notice I got..

So does anyone have a good way to use this info so I can convince my dad to let me test the thing out? And please, no "OMFG RETURN IT!1 GET GET CF" because I can't quite do that. I just can't put up a very good arguement against my dad sometimes.

Just tell your dad you want to make it sure it is in working condition, because the box got kicked around a lil.

And also, this would go in console forums. Ask there. They might tell you about that 60 to 30 day warentee thingy you got.
