When I first got into DDR there was a DDR Day on November 20th every year. Is it still celebrated by fans or people just plain forgot about it?

I'm sure people will "celebrate" DDR Day again this year (where "celebrate" is defined as posting a message on this board acknowledging its existence). Of course, so many players have gotten their start on Max2 machines now and the ones who have played Extreme probably never even play "20, November", so a lot of them probably don't even get it.

(Crash course for uber-newbs: November 20th is the birthday of Reo Nagumo/DJ Nagureo/Tiger Yamato, the sound director of the original Beatmania series and composer of numerous Bemani songs...those featured in DDR include: "R3", "5.1.1.", "Luv to Me" and, of course "20, November".)

Of course, if anything it should be Beatmania Day, or at least Bemani Day..."20, November" premiered on 5-key Beatmania long before it was included in DDR.

Personally, I prefer to celebrate 19, November...it's a much better song.

So that's why there is a song called 20, November. I tried it. I don't like it at all. Oh well, i'll still celebrate!

I'm 100% sure you're wrong. You might be thinking of Lion Musashi.

Proper time for my Celebration mix:

LET'S GET DOWN (Standard)
CELEBRATE (Standard)
CELEBRATE NITE (Standard)

or for the experts out there:

LET'S GET DOWN (Heavy)
CELEBRATE (Heavy)
CELEBRATE NITE (Euro Trance Mix) (Challenge)

Post your best scores, if you want to...

...or maybe not. If we start posting or best scores they'll start thinking that this an 'accomplishment' topic.

By the way my best are Celebrate AA on heavy & standard. E4.gif
