All the songs in the arcade are very very very easy to learn.

Go buy PPP7, those are some of the hardest.

Stay, Fantasista, Velfarre2000, and The Boom Boom Power are my favorites.

Though some of those aren't on a arcade mix. *sobs*

PPP7 is no where near the hardest, PPP6 was the one for the hard core fans.

The arcade ones aren't so easy, just compared to others they are quite simple and short.

PPP6 is pretty hard but PPP presents J-Euro is also pretty hard. After enough practice though any routine can be done.

Just 1 PPP home version; for PS2.

If I remember correctly, it's the same as PPP 1st Mix Plus in the arcade, but someone who has the game would probably know for sure.

well, we're planning on having a para torney here in london and was wondering if anyone here had any ideas on how we should score people. so far it has been decided there will be a separate para and freestyle competition. Any help would be appreciated! E15.gif the proper thread for this can be found in the British isles thread btw. kk

I've only played 1st Mix plus. Kingdom of Rock should be on DDR, cuz it be awsomez!

I've only played Freestyle since I don't know any of the routines, and freestyle's harder anyway. I like the arm wavy!

I've only had the opportunity to play on a machine for one weekend, and that was at Anime Central 2003. But I was immediately hooked. As a freestyler in DDR (and a dancer off the pads), the game is a god-send. The thing does what DDR can never do for freestylers, which is give their movement a LOT more freedom and not restrict it by basing so much on impact. The fact that I could twirl a cane or do a rave-style figure 8 into a ha-do-ken because the game practically ASKED me to is nothing short of a dream come true for me.

Are there any other freestylers in this thread? I'm interested in what kind of dance styles people use while freestyling on a PPP machine.

For Para Para Mode, I Para Para. For higher difficulties, I Free-Style. While PPP isn't one of my top Bemanis, I like it just the same. I come up with off-the-top-of-my-head routines that go with the music. Kingdom of Rock: powerful energy. O Sole Mio: Silly kid dance. Night of Fire: Emotion. Or if I'm feeling kind of dumb (most of the time), I just do really silly/stupid/embarrassing stuff.

Freestyle?!?! AW! *hides face* I wish I could freestyle! I'm the ONLY girl I've seen play and whenever I go play alone I get a mini crowd watching and the mere thought of freestyling terrifies me mucho. Are there any places that I can dl vids? I oddly can't get them from paraparastage.com and I can't get anywhere on that site oddly. And I know ppl talk about buying the dvds and vcds and such and that just makes me wonder cuz the lil jap store i go to can't get them for me sadly. Hm, ebbbaaaayyyyy.

Well, since I didn't know any Para Para routines, I really didn't have any choice but to freestyle when it was my turn at the convention. I've run into some Paralists over time (that weekend and over conversations on forums/AIM) that REALLY hate freestylers. But the overall attitude toward freestylers is positive. If you're on a machine and look fluid or energetic, anyone watching will be impressed...well, anyone who isn't there to heckle already anyway. E15.gif

Videos...yeah, ebay's one place to look. I think YesAsia.com has some stuff, too. And I was gonna suggest paraparastage, but if you said that doesn't work...I'm stumped. riiight.gif

As far as styles...yeah, depends on the song for me as well. Night of Fire always seems to get me going on the martial arts/rave thing. Eurobeat and Celebrate Nite are REALLY fun for the cane and hat routines, and my friend seems to enjoy poppin' and breakin' to Celebrate Nite. And my girlfriend has a really fluid early 90's house/hip-hop style on Deluxe...nothing fancy, but nothing flawed, and everything beautiful...(*swoon*) Glowsticks are fun, too, but the one weekend I got to play was in a room that was relatively bright.

Anyway, glad to see people do freestyle on this thread. happy.gif

well if u wanna dwnload para routines try neoparapara.com. it has the ps2 vids, but low quality E15.gif

I cant freestyle to save my life either, but i try anyways???? if i choose freestyle mode i try and do hard mode, so there isnt much room for freestyling anyways, either that or i play the routines. biggrin.gif

I just purchased my very first para para! 2nd! So happy. I refuse to go into the arcade without learning at least one routine. It's gonna be like learning DDR all over again. Oh the embarassment riiight.gif

I played PPP in the arcade for the first time yesterday and loved it. It's so much fun... you can really dance around and do a lot more stuff than you can in DDR. Lots of great songs, too... O Sole Mio, CSFIL euro, Dynamite Rave euro, Night of Fire, Speedway, etc., etc.

I just cannot get over the song selection. I like it. Usually happy perky sons annoy me but these are just plain ol fun. I look forward to getting the vid wth the routines. Plus I tracked down a controller/ps2 game bundle. I think I'll be happy. What really sux is that the closet PPP is like 2 1/2 hours away from me.
