How do I make my DDR experience cramp-free?

It's hard to go cramp-free sometimes, because if I eat, I cramp up, If I don't eat, I cramp. If I drink, I cramp up, if I don't drink I cramp. What's the deal?

Any tips on how to be cramp-free during a session of DDR?

Right:

So before you go to that arcade(about 30 minutes ish) eat a banana or two, and those are jam packed with potassium, which keeps you from cramping


DOn't drink soda, the sugar does something to that one part and gives you cramps, so right before you leave, while eating that banana, down a glass of water, and then by the time you get there, you'll be fully hydrated, and you cna drink water, but don't just drain water as if a pool filling up with water, drink sparingly... kinda:

During the summer when I played a lot more, I ate at least 4 bannanas while playing ddr. And drank lots of water, that's important too.

Water always helps but I have also heard that Tums helps a whole lot...Just eat one before you play and that should help out..

Oh another thing if NOTHING helps...Drink Pickle Juice... goog.gif

hmm..I would just stick with the Tums or something...

Banana's do work. Havent gotten leg cramps in a long time.
I remember waking up at 3 am. MY LEGS! ARGHH! HELP!! MY LEG IT HURT

christ, my leg cramped up on my way home... not while i was playing, not on the train, not in the subway, but when im right outside my apartment, my right leg gives in and sorta bends on its own and i am sitting on the street for 20 minutes.... >.<

thank god it was like 9 p.m. and the streets were empty so no one could have come and mugged me or something...

anywho...

yeah bananas work well... dont eat anything really cheesy like pizza or nachos and stuff or anything really heavy in particular. And drink water VERY sparingly, because a)too much will make your stomach cramp b)at $1.75 a bottle (well, at port authority), poopy man, put in a quarter and u get 6 songs!

anything dairy + DDR = OUCH.

Found that out the hard way.

I was playing ddr for a while. Then walked around, stopped at a convenience store, bought some chocolate milk, then walked around more. Got bored, went back to play DDR.

Oh sweet jesus I felt sick and crampy.

Maybe if you stretch before you play, water does help a little, heck I even heard eating a banana helps too.

i ate 2 bananas b4 i played max300... and holy SH** i passed it!!!! man... this crap does work.... yeah... maybe when i get skinny that will help prevent cramps 2.

I haven't had a banana in a LOOOOONG time....

I used to get cramped all the time, but after a while, they just stopped happening...

Can anyone explain that to me? I used to cramp all the time after playing Max(300/X), but now I always exhaust myself before I cramp.....

Lots of water, just not right before you play, that will just give you water cramps which are just as "no fun" as regular cramps.

Jamba Juice (mmmmmmmmmmmmmm) helps if u get certian boosts and smoothies with lots of potassium in them, like a razzmatazz with an endurance boost.

I just eat anything bread based about a half hour to 15 minutes before I play, like a bagel or muffin, anything like that. For some reason bread seems to give me the best energy in the long run.
