Despite my mom being a fan of dance/club music, she insists that she can't find any difference between Captain Jack and PARANOiA. Figure that one out. _________________

I live on my own so my family's opinion of the game is not a big deal for me. My dad and step mom do approve of the game. They think it is a great workout and asked me about getting the game for my younger sisters. My dad even gave me 10$ to take my younger sisters out to the arcade to play. |

My parents love watching me play DDR at the mall. My dad gave me five bucks the other day to go play it, and when they came to pick me up, dad walks up when I'm playing Mr. Wonderful as a wind down (Hey, five bucks worth of DDR makes ya tired! LOL) and he says, "Hey, if I stand up here, will it bug you?" and by that, he meant the 2P area. I said no, so he bounces up and starts mimicking me only in the way an person who's TRYING their HARDEST to annoy you can. It was hilarious, because my dad is a big guy, like 6'4" and two hundred and ten pounds. That's a big dude to be bouncin' like a maniac on a DDR machine, just to make his daughter laugh. LOL. So I told him, "yeah, dad, now THAT bugs me!" and he laughs and gets off....hehehe...my parents just get a kick out of DDR.... _________________

You'd think your family would be supportive of what you do, but I guess not always...
Besides, tell them to chill, becasue it's just a freakin' game.
And mainstream music sucks. _________________

DDR was kinda strange for me.
My mom didn't mind it, and that was cool, she thought it was neat getting exercise from a video game.
My dad surprised me even more, he thought it was really neat, and even he played a game or two, not too bad either for someone almost 50.
Bummer re: people who don't get much support from family... just remember that when you have kids, it will make you a better parent. |

I guess you can say my brother hates me for playing DDR, and I had a friend who said he hated DDR and for some odd reason I converted him. So there. _________________

My family doesn't have a problem with it.
My little bro plays...but only the lesson modes and a few songs. For some reason he won't play on the arcade. (it's hard to persuade an autistic child).
My sister used to play, but her asthma has gotten in the way so she doesn't play as much..same for my brother..but he never plays anyway.
My mom says that DDR is good for me and that I will lose wieght. |

my mom hates it because I spend so much of my money on it. In fact, I think she hates anything having to do with movement or dance that I get involved in or want to get involved in.
I'm guessing she's just jealous because I like to move around and dance and such, and she's too embarassed to do any of that stuff, or so I assume. _________________
