Its so not fair. We had extreme up at my college campus (UM-Saint Louis for anyone interested), and it was played all the time. Then two weeks ago I showed up and it was gone. I deluded myself for a while telling myself that is was just in for repairs. The inevitable can not be denied though. My only question is why lose the machine when there are still several machines I have yet to see played once. (darn you Virtua Tennis!) Any ideas as to why they are trying to be so cruel to me? _________________

What really bums me out is I don't get to see other people from school play it. I consider myself to be an average player (can do virtually anything standard/ some songs heavy), but some of these guys and girls were really good. There was one guy who could AA bag on heavy (I know that may not be impressive to some of you but it is to me) and it was just such a thrill to see such experts at work. They also sounded really cool when they would play So Deep, which is why I like that song now. _________________

I know the feeling. The same thing happened when the mall close to where I used to live got 3rd mix. Then after a couple of months of it doing really well, it disappeared never to be seen again. Best thing would be to try and find another location. _________________

Try asking some type of official who manages this arcade. Ask if they know where it is. If it's close, you could go there. Or venture off to other arcades, checking if they have a DDR.
Or venture off the machine locations to find one in your area. _________________

I know where some other ones are but they aren't anywhere near as conviently located. Two of them are in movie theatres meaning that I would have to buy a stupid ticket every time I wanted to use the machine. My only other option is there is one at a casino. I hesitate to go there too much though, due to it can be freakishly crouded sometimes. Last time I went there they had the thing up to 18 sets (is that the right term for your 3 song thing?) in advance. _________________

When our local "family fun center" went out of business, I lost an Extreme machine and a job. Consider yourself lucky. _________________

This just flat out sucks... although... hmm... if they weren't going to use the extreme machine anymore... you could have bought it at a low price, and made money off of it by charging the locals... Then you'd have your own machine! And you wouldn't need the job anymore, and you could have a vivid membership for being an "arcade manager". Awesomeness!!!!
This will be me some day. |

I try not to think about what would happen if they took an Extreme machine away from where I live. I used to feel that way about the 3rd Mix machine in Jeepers!, which is quite close to me (distance-wise, and mentally), for it was the first machine I ever played on. But now, considering the broken arrows, burned out lights, and darker than night screen... I'm thinking, "WHY DON'T THEY TAKE IT! WHY?! _________________
