Is it possible to get an ultra generic PIU home pad? e.g. the equivalent of a topway DDR pad. I can't find any pads that are less than $50 :-(

I've been playing Pump it Up for 4 months. I like the game very much... only problem there is is lack of availability of a home version (one thats more updated than Perfect Collection) I started playing Dance games with Pump it Up, there are no DDR machines in any arcade near me. I've played home versions of DDR at friends houses and I must say it's harder to spin in DDR due to the placement of the buttons on the pad... but besides that I like the music in both of them and like each game as well. I really don't see why everytime there is a Pump topic on a DDR forum or a DDR topic on a Pump forum it results in chaos with people argueing over which is better. Sure people have opinions but can't these people realize that and leave it at that?

I don't see people argue about which RPG series is better or faker as much as I see topics bashing dance games, it's just another game in the same genre just like Final Fantasy is to Dragon Warrior.... or Virtua Fighter is to Tekken.....you don't see fans of these series argueing about which is better... ok you do but not nearly as much as the Pump is a fake DDR average topic...

I agree with Tsuri on this one....makes no sense to complain about DDR being better than PIU or vice-versa. its juss stupid. each game has its own features just like any RPG series.

Is there anyone here that can give me a half-way decent challenege on piu? I'm sick of being the best in N.E. at this game,i have no left to beat.Someone help!!

Your saying you can beat anyone even if they get to select the song? I doubt that... Saying that is saying you can beat everyone there at every song in the game... I doubt you play all the songs... (no one likes EVERY genre of music lol) Anyhow I would play you but I probably don't live near you.

I live in boston,mass.And actually,yes i do play every single song.Does not matter if i like it or not,i practiced very hard to master every single song in the game.I'm not really a cocky person,i'm sure there are some people out here that might be able to take me on,but i just have yet to find them.

What version of Pump it Up do you have at the place you play at? We had only Premiere 1 and Extra here but the place with Premiere 1 Upgraded to PREX3

that being said I still goto the other place to play Extra because some of my favorite songs aren't on PREX3.

Pump is kinda fun, I dont get to play it that much though. My fave songs are Winter and Turkey march on hard...

Just sunday I passed Turkey March with an A so now im happy..

I like the song next to Turkey March in the menu : Naissance thats my favorite... Black Cat was my other fav but it's been removed... I like Solitary as well but it lies about the level! There are lower level songs that are harder... lol I like playing Turkey March sometimes... I just always pick Beethoven Virus as a habit sometimes... lol

i think piu players are asses,well the ones i played with n-e way,i went 2 he mall 2 try piu since there are no close ddr machies.i go to the acade as soon as i get around the machine the start madd doggin me like i did something,theni ask if piu was n-e thing like ddr,they say no what r u blind it has a 5th step stupid that makes it much more funner thn ddr.then its my turn up i try on normal and i pass i do preety good for a first the first time then some buttocks comes up and says i could do much better and he did then he just started laughin and i left!
