Well the worst, and I don't know if you agree, is DDR Max. It ruined DDR's reputation, and brought the overplayed Max 300 into existence, along with those frickin' freeze arrows...
The best? Well, depends...For songs, DDR Extreme, of course...But for all out quality, DDR Max 2. I learned on DDR Max 2, and though I Hated DDR Max, I love Max 2...Odd... I own a Max 2, Machine, and I am proud of it. ^__^

Easy there, ya little whippersnapper. Just because it's new doesn't make it the best. True, it has the most songs, but don't forget that to get the most songs, it also had to get the most awful songs in the process. 
I think, in proportion to how many songs were actually on the mix, 5th is the best, followed closely by 7th and 3rd.

3rd Mix, Korean. Everybody feared Dead End. It was hilarious. That and Afronova. But anyway, I pick DDR MAX, because of MAX300, which scared the living daylights out of newbs.
