I'd like to know the easiest way to play DDRMAX2 japanese on my ps2. I don't want to damage it, and I was also wondering if filptops play orignal games.

Are you guys sure that Psx-Tech installs real Messiah 2 Mod-Chips (everbody knows that there are fakes flowing around on the net)? Their pic of the messiah 2 pro doens't look like the pic of the messiah 2 pro on the official messiah 2 website.

Well, I just went to ps2cover.com and checked around there... But, I don't have to right version ps2 for it to fit! Now, is there any other way to play orginial ps/ps2 imports without opening up me ps2? Or must a mod chip be bought? Cuz if i must get a mod chip, im gonna have someone else install it. Someone close to pa. If anyone knows where I can get:
A non-open-up-ps2 mod OR
a mod chip.
If a mod chip is bought:
Whats the best, and who can install it around the Pennsylvania area. I'm not shippin it to Cali.
And BTW, I did read the FAQ, but didnt understand a word.

Sure. The only thing a fliptop will change, is your warranty. The only "downsides" besides the warranty, is the fact that some games may put a large dummy file at the beginning of the disk, and for some reason, the swap disk is confused, and cannot load the import (Although this apparently has been changed for Swap Magic v3). And I have no firsthand knowledge, but either PS1 games cannot be played, or perhaps require a gameshark like program to work. If your main purpose is to play Import DDR/Bemani PS2 games, then a fliptop is the way to go. |

does anyone have ddr best hits, bc ive been trying for months to get it to work on my ps2, modding, making copies, everything i can think of and i keep getting to the same screen, which i think says that its detecking the mod chip and wont read it.

Wouldn't that gameshark like program be swap magic? Would I still be able to play original psx games?

the swapmagic discs are only for PS2 games. Gameshark 2 and ActionReplay 2 discs come in pairs, one for PS2 games and one for PSX games, so if you want to play import PS1 games (like early beatmania or pop'n) you get a Gameshark2 or Action Replay2.
Ordinary US PS1 games will still play with a fliptop. |
