So this enter thing works...
Cause if it does, I just voted like 5000 times in 15 minutes
But who says that someone else hasn't figured this out for their own category??? |

Because I'm more intelligent than the people that go to MTV.com and spend too much time playing online games figuring out little cheats like this one _________________

C'mon guys! Let's not be pessimistic about it. Halo's WAYYYYYYY overrated and doesn't deserve to win. It's already had it's glory. And Final Fantasy has been a complete joke in the past 3 years. DDR all the way. Keep voting, guys! |

OK, so apparently nobody on MTV.com knows how to correctly spell "millennium."
I can't *stand* that...
...oh, yeah, I voted for DDR like 20 times. Those other games have no chance. =)

A few things to note. 1. MTV sucks and probably has already picked what will win, we just get to vote to get their site traffic. 2. Things like GTA and Halo are probably way more popular. 3. We can only hope that the DDR nerds are the only crew dedicated enough to try and stuff the ballet box and win. I mean, if DDR won most popular and got mainestream TV exposure as the best game, do you think Konami might take notice and stop thinking we are just a fan club? |

yeah i'm gonna be fair and vote lets say, 3000 times.
But lets be realistic, i'll bet you those guys at mtv/viacom havent even played or even know what DDR is (except that one time they were at the beach house in NJ). At least EGM is legitimate.
And its going against some of the best games in there genre.
So the plan is not to let any other fanboys know about this, so that DDR has a really good chance. |

Hey, people who voted lots of times....
If I were a programmer I would have done the same thing and just let you re-vote. But it would only tally 1 per IP. Sure you could do it "again", but you don't know IF the vote actually went through.
Unless you know you voted like 500,000 times or something outrageously high, and the # of votes shown on the show (if they will do that) is higher than that, maybe you can say it worked.
I have a feeling they are playing stupid blond tricks on you guys and you are vote stuffing for naught.
I voted twice and realized they are probably tricking us to act like morons since they won't show you the current tally like most polls do.
And don't bring up bandwidth, MTV can afford it, the joke is well worth the effort to see someone "vote 8000 times". _________________

well if they did do that 1-per-ip thingy then why would they tell u to feel free to vote again right after u just did? or do they suppose you use like 5 comps at your house to just switch off and vote again?? |

Because you think it would count. I could do that on my site right now. The only difference is that I'm not MTV and people wouldn't care about my polls.
"Wow, Joe (the web guy or development team member)! Look at all the traffic you brought to the site with your article! How would you like to have more responsibility in the company (read: raise)?"
Ok, so it's not like that. But I think since they don't show you the polling results until the day of, it's not worth potentially being part of an easy-to-pull prank.
Like I said, I would have done it. This is MTV, pop culture primadonna. Sarcasim and deception runs amok among their target audience. _________________
