I used to hate gallops before I got fairly good at them. I don't like crossovers involving the Up arrow (and up until fairly recently, I couldn't do most crossovers well at all), but my absolute least favorite thing is the presence of quick jumps, either alone or within strings of other arrows, especially when the song is fast. For example, the two strings in Waka Laka Heavy beginning with the lyrics "I want to live... a brand new day..." etc. Stoic Heavy is pretty bad but luckily not quite as fast. But I hate this the most in MaxX Unlimited and LoM (Heavy, obviously), and I seriously believe that I'll never pass either one because of the jumps.
On the other hand, I absolutely love tricky step patterns, like the ones in On The Jazz, rain of sorrow, i feel..., L'amour etc. that everyone else seem to hate!

I still think it's hilarious that the toughest part of this song begins with the line "I want to live." _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

Oh J-Ko, you know you love the Afronova sideways steps.
Now, my favorite steps are songs like V Oni or A Oni, where it isn't all like one sudden complicated step, but its all one continuous stream of weird steps. V Oni you've got that whole sideways thing for a while, and A Oni just has the cool turns all over. So much fun...
Also, Doubles has some fun step patterns, like On The Jazz.... which is fun on singles too I guess, especially the end.
Mentioning that, patterns that make you turn away from the screen, but not completely spin, are also fun, because most people mess them up, or don't do them, like in On The Jazz, or I Do I Do I Do. |

left-down-right, right-down-left, left-up-right, and right-up-left crossovers...if I turn away from the screen I screw everything up...so I can't do these yet...
sidenote: Asteroid, I think your sig is wrong...I'm fairly sure his name was Ooby Doob Scooby Dooby Banooby (phoenetically)... _________________

Afronova: What's wrong with it? I've almost got a AA. It's a trade secret of mine. *coughturncoughtocoughthecoughrightcoughcough*
EotC: Just stupid shuffle steps that's all, nothing hard there (unless you're not used to shuffling your feet.
Continuous double step patterns: Like in R3? Once you do Sakura enough, those aren't problems
Can't stop falling in love (speedy): Eh, you tend to just be able to move your feet like that at sometime... took me a while though.
Jumps within 8th note runs: If I'm not warmed up, they suck. If I am warmed up, no problems.
The only thing that really gets me: The stupid pattern within the part after the beginning LoM (you know, the 8th note left-up-pause-up-left-pause-left and up), that I've temporarily found a way to bypass, giving me something like a 200+ combo in the beginning, after that, it's all about my luck, and how fast my feet wanna move.
and PSM, heavy and oni, own me for free... but not for long |

I tend to have trouble with the crossovers as well.
I also hate when you have 8th note arrows just before or after jumps, like that long single-single-single-jump-single-single-single-jump stream towards the end of DXY!... I always manage to screw that up. _________________
