Toys 'n Joys doesn't have a discount on ordering more than one item. UPS drives me crazy, my $300 Japanese PS2 was being delivered UPS, and I know they just leave stuff there at my door. I was careful and made sure I was there the day it arrived. That's importing for ya! |

I just joined today and Micharu DX I don't use a flip lid to play imports, but i'm saving my money for a universal ps2. If your wondering what it is its a ps2 that plays american and japanese games all on one system and there is no modchip at all but it costs over $400 with shipping. |

I was just wondering what the antimod codes are for. Are they for your gameshark or something? |

uh, I kinda didn't know where to post this but... here goes anyway.
I have DDR 2nd Mix Append Club Version 1 and 2. I don't have to use 2nd Mix or 3rd Mix to boot up Version 2, but I do for 1. I have version 1 patched so the anti mod is passed, but has anybody been able to either:
Find a patch (No Dependancy) for this game, or
Know a code for it to play without having to boot from both 3rd or 2nd Mix? _________________

Does anyone know what play modes are in Max2 JP? I figure Oni is there, but I'm wondering about Custom Oni, Nonstop/Custom Nonstop, and Endless. I've recently come into some money and I'm probably going to import this.

Not to be too critical, but for a sticky, this should have Max, Max2, and Extreme. At least the Maxes. They have been out for sometime. |

The Japanese MAX2 for PS2, like the arcade version, has Oni but no Nonstop. MAX2 for PS2 introduced Oni Order, and yes, it has Endless Mode too.
Oh, and btw, I discussed DDRMAX for PS2 back on page 3. It's there. Not sure about MAX2.

Should this really be a sticky? , it seems more like a faq/guide sort of thing
also, Eckostyle imo is a bad poster, furry, and should not be mod |
What are you talking about? He isn't a mod...
I would take your personal problems with him/her to pm, this isn't the place to talk about them.
But the fact remains, someone on these boards probably owns all/most of the DDR imports, and US, and could either make their own, or work to amend this one. I doubt most people come to this thread to see pre-PS2 games, and would rather see games that can be imported, and played in the US with a cheap $30 mod. |

We've had the 4th mix for awhile, but still haven't been able to get out of the practice part of challenge mode due to "gotcha". Is there any other way to get out of practice mode? Also, does anyone know the web address at the bottom of the internet rankings page? Thanks in advance! |

JMax2 has Oni mode, three of them free for editing all 20 songs each. There is no Nonstop and it has Endless. JMax2 is a great mix. _________________

Some websites offer Asian versions of the PS2 to import. These come with a 220V power cable. I was thinking of getting one of these and using a US cable to power it (110V). Would that work, do you think?
Refer to www.play-asia.com to see the consoles I mean and the significantly lower price (20 or so bucks), that could cover shipping costs. |

I recently brought DDR 1st mix and i have a action reply which works fine with all my other import games. A screen keeps coming up and from the litte japanese that i know i think it's telling me i'm in the wrong region or something. I belive this is the lockout code, does anyone on this forum know the gameshark/action replay code to put in to over ride the lock out.
I see there posted for 4th mix and up but i have first mix and really wanna play it without pacthing or opening up my old psx and mabye damaging it.
Thanks |

Where do I find this mysterious Universal PS2 system? I have searched everywhere, but to no avail. I should like very much to be able to play the *PS one* import games, as well as the PS2 stuff - the new Party Collection import, the current US games, *and* my region one DVDs. Does this miracle machine really exist? Those of you who are experts on the subject - would I really be better off just modding a US PS2? (I am rather technically challenged.)
But, however, do these slide card apparati work at all?
Here is the promotional spiel - I don't know what to make of it.

Whatever I do, my favorites are the old mixes, so I *absolutely* need to be able to play PS1 imports.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!!! |

You can get a Universal PS2 here: http://www.ps2modchip.com/playstation2.php
The PS2 is at the bottom of the page of the website.
It would be better to mod your PS2, but if your system crashes.
You can't get it fixed.
If you get a universal PS2 you still have the warranty sticker and can only play the original copies of both Japanese and American. |

I have a burnt copy of an import ddr game; it did not work with the antimod codes. Now I want to buy some imports in the hope that it will work, would it boot up properly with the anitmod having a real copy or fail like the burnt disk.
The oppurtunity to get these games will pass me by soon thats why I said urgent.
I would really appreciate any advice _________________
