Ok well heres the dealio, i'm practicing for a tourney and I have stepmania usb all that good stuff. BUT the problem is, on stepmania everything is so much easier than the arcade. I can get an A simple as pie, and I know it has to do with the settings, like judge difficulty and such.

What are all the settings I should change, and what should I change them to, to make the SM timing, grading, and such like the Arcade E19.gif

heh, thanx in advance for anyone who can help me riiight.gif

it also depends on the arcade. some arcades are harder than others, and thus have diff difficulties. yes, in the options u should change the judge difficulty and the other thing up prolly till it seems like the arcade I guess =/

I suggest upping the judging difficulty, so you can better get accurate at PA, and also adjust the lifebar settings. Use a home version of ddr to help, since that is the closest to the arcade version as you can really get.

I read somewhere that all the mixs are like judge difficulty 4, except for 3rd mix and extreme which are 5 or 6 on SM. I've been setting mine up to resemble the arcade... so far I have all the songs, random movies, anouncer, marv set to courses only, all the oni courses, and even have my pc set up to a tv for better viewing... I haven't been able to truely test how close the juding is on a pad, since the usb converter i got was crap.. but it seems like the grades I get on sm are always 2-3 grades higher then how well I do on my feet, using judge difficulty 5.. ( an A on sm translates to a C on arcade for me) course the gap differs from person to person and skill lvl to skill lvl...
