I just downloaded the CVS version and have been playing with it. I seem to have to always step a tad early on all songs, so I need the equivalent of what the DWI sim calls a "global gap" adjustment.

Does SM have such an adjustment? I couldn't find it in Options and I even looked at the INI file and didn't see anything that looked like it. But I'm hoping it's there somewhere...

TIA

ya, in sm on the second options screen after you choose a song. choose auto sync or something er other. its the 2nd to last or 3rd to last on the bottom. and what itll do is whenever you step on your pad with ur ems usb 2 thing, itll sync your steps to the song, no matter how far ahead or below you step. it might take a few seconds, but itll do it. try it =), thats what I did

Look in stepmania.ini. GlobalGapSeconds or something like that.

Yes, it's GlobalOffsetSeconds in the Stepmania.INI file. Should already be there with a value of 0.000000, but if not, create a line in the [Options] section that looks like this:

GlobalOffsetSeconds=0.000000

I found that the EMS USB adapter made my steps register late, so I changed the value to -0.05000, and if cleared the problem right up. You'll probably need to tinker with that value for your setup.

Good luck!
