I've played in the arcade a grand total of about 4 or 5 times since I really started playing back in June. Yes, it is hard making the conversion, I still get tripped up by the metal sometimes. I go to make slides that one simply cannot make on an arcade metal pad. But at home I can do 9-footers, and in the arcade I can do 8-footers, so it's not THAT bad.

The arcade is usually more difficult for newer players than is the home version. But once your skills and the amount of time you've been playing improvres, it's the complete opposite.

the arcade was pretty hard for me to adjust to when I was a n00b. I blame it mainly on the fact that I had one of those regular pads that were smaller, so I wasn;t ued to the arrows being bigger and farther apart in the arcade.

I remember the first time I played at the arcade; I was playing about 7-footers by that time. The arrows seemed so much smaller than my pad at home. I also played a lot of Standard Double, which was even more difficult to maneuver, since the arrows were so much closer together. Since that de-virginizing experience, I've become much more accustomed to the arcade-size pads.

I'm no arcade veteran -- I still have a little trouble getting slightly turned or off-center on the machine. Hopefully practicing on my home built pad will fix that.
