sm freezes

has any1 ever had the problem of playin a song and having sm freeze and skip for a few seconds mid song on all the songs? i can chose any song and it will skip at almost the exact time as the other ones and will last for a few seconds and knock me off balance with the beat. its really annoying. any help is apreciated.

I had this problem on my friend's laptop the other day. SM runs fine on my 700 MHz Athlon (with the display settings all turned down), but always skipped once during (I think) each song on his 1.5 GHz laptop! I turned all the display settings down on his too, but it didn't fix it at all. Anyone else seen this?
