this summer, i had stepmania on my computer, it was running fine for about a month, and then it started freezing my whole computer, not letting me leave it unless i restart my whole comp. ever since then, my computer has been having random freezes.

my dad just took the computer to get it fixed. and now it works heavenly. but, i dont want to put stepmania on it and risk the freezing again. i cant put it on my other computer because:

A-stepmania is too big for a floppy disk ( atleast the ones i have)
B-the phone jack in the wall where my other comp is has some nasty goo in it and wont allow me to put the phone cord in
C-the zip drive i have just sux and wont let me transfer data to the other comp

WHAT DO I DO!?!? i wont be getting a ddr home version until dec.18 (my birthday) i cant drive, and i have barely any money so i cant go to the arcade often.

i know, ur gonna say "this isnt my problem, u do something about it" but if there is any other way to get stepmania on my other computer (besides putting SM on a CD, i cant do that i have no CD burner) PLEASE TELL ME!!!

Start coding all the files in notepad? And then get the images in lowest quality on to floppy?

I guess?

I doubt Stepmania was the reason for your computer messing up. Just hearing that there is "goo" in the modem's phone jack is reason enough to assume that you or whomever used the computer could be blamed for having to repair the computer, or just the fact that some computers do actually breakdown. Compared to real games, SM isn't a real computer hazzard, and saying that SM was the reason that your computer broke, is laughable. Sorry fo being blunt.

If I was in your position, I would either do 2 things:

1: Spend 30$ and get a cheap cd burner.
or
2: Download a program such as winzip that can span large files onto a floppy disk, and prepare for a long winter...

Why don't you just take the hard drive out of one of them and attach it as a slave on the other, then just copy the files over? Or are you computer-illiterate?

Thats what I would do

CD burner is probally your best option, dont try to mangle out the harddrive swapping unless you know what your doing

I doubt it was stepmania that caused the problem also
